Another point from Conroy, margin down to 4
Connacht lead Munster 1-16 to 0-14 in the Railway Cup.
Point by Danny Cummins, 1-13 to 0-11
Point from an Armstrong free, 1-14 to 0-12.
Donegal run out easy enough winners 1-16 to 0-12, A slight improvement in the second half performance but a long, long way to go for this Galway team yet.
On a brighter note, Connacht have beaten Munster 1-18 to 0-16 in the Railway Cup Semi Final.
Too much giving the ball away when not even under pressure, too many solo runs into a wall of Donegal jerseys, no real zip when we needed it, having the wind in the first half, same old same old really, if ever a team was stuck in neutral itâs Galway under Mulholland. Once Hanley went off injured midway through the 1st half Donegal scored the goal in the next attack I think and that was it really both teams looked reasonably happy to pretty much leave it at that, it was understood that Donegal would win, which they did without really ever getting out of 4th gear. It was a genuine top class div 1 team brushing aside a middle of the road Div 2 side.
It wasnât all bad, Galway threatened to make a game of it briefly early in the 2nd half with Concannon in particular looking sharp but aimless running and passing, (the new boy Kavanagh was particularly at fault for this, certainly doesnât look anything worth getting too excited about) cost us and Donegal bringing on the likes of Paddy McBrearty who scored for fun just empasised the difference in standards between where we are at and where the business end is. It will be a relegation battle for sure and without Hanley Iâd say we could well be goosed.
Jaysus, back to the bad old days of Divison 3 shudders. What was the nature of Hanleys injury, is it likely to be long term?

I really cant fathom or understand how the Galway seniors are not making more of shape
All the ingredients appear to be there. Tradition, a few all Ireland under 21 winning teams and a manager that has been successful at club and under 21 level. Being through this before with Jimmy McNulty but felt the urge to say it again
Gonna be some dogfight between ourselves Armagh and Louth, each worse than the next.
Not certain but looked like might a knee or ankle. He was down for a good 5 minutes and needed help leaving the pitch
Dublin are a great price to beat Galway in the stadium if the game goes ahead.
Mulhollands are going 16/1 that Galway senior teams play in Croke Park this year at least as many times as Garth Brooks, hurling and football, league and Championship.
I actually considered it for roughly 10 seconds

Is that not laying yourself? I had dinner tonight with a lad who was over in front of a bha tribunal accused of exactly that.
It is of course and itâs been that way for over two years now.
By the way is that the best a Lothario like yourself could do for a Valentine dinner?

Its gonna either be the best win win or lose lose bet youâve ever had. Imagine if we recreated the summer of love that was 2001. And considering this years all ireland is guaranteed to be a draw now that the GAA have figured out how much money they can make of it. Letâs just referees will be encouraged to see the benefit of giving last minute frees.

A lothario like myself obviously has no need of valentine dinners. Sure I just show them the photo and they go weak at the knees.
Galway (SH v Dublin): C Callanan; F Moore, R Burke, J Coen; D Collins, I Tannian, A Harte; D Burke, P Brehony; C Mannion; J Glynn, D Glennon; N Healy, C Cooney, J Flynn.
Dublin (NHL v Galway) - Gary Maguire; Cian OâCallaghan, Peter Kelly, Simon Timlin; Stephen Hiney, Liam Rushe, Michael Carton; Shane Durkin, Johnny McCaffrey; Conal Keaney, Ryan OâDwyer, Danny Sutcliffe; David OâCallaghan, Paul Ryan, Mark Schutte.
Ronan Burke, Catahl Mannion and Jason Flynn all making their senior debuts tomorrow. Theyâll be up against it as that looks a strong side Dalys named there. Other than Tipp, this is our only home game so anything other than a win and we are staring a relegation playoff in the face. Who the fuck knows what will happen, I havenât a clue, hopefully theyâll show us something anyway.
This is Galway hurling, it is what it is.
What club is Burke from, turlough ?
