King Henry of Galway (Part 1) šŸ‘‘

Heard today that Eoin Concannon, Johnny Duane and Gary Sice left the Galway football panel before the Armagh game. Apparently they got the hump after getting dropped for lads just brought into the panel like Mick Lundy. Fooks sake

Edit, Siceā€™s departure was unrelated to the other 2 and is expected to return Im told

Depends on whether Kk win Leinster , if the do the games will be sufficiently spaced to let that happen but the week in week out cross country circuit would make it harder I think

Tannian doesnā€™t track his man, the amount of room he afforded Tony Kelly the last day was unbelievable , Kelly scored 0-2 and shot 8 wides. A player like Kelly , Noel McGrath , C fennelly will go to town on him as he merely plays the centre , as you say an additional player in behind might help re tracking the runners but it wasnā€™t effective v Clare or Kk.the fact that Kelly couldnā€™t hit a barn door on the day camouflaged the issue

You cant be bringing a Lundy back in to the fold.

They were mostly frees though mate. Fairly sure itā€™s against the rules to track a fella when heā€™s taking a free, even in Ennis

No , all missed from play, Iā€™m starting to think you werenā€™t actually at that game, Kelly missed no free in the first half and Ryan took over in the second half

Iā€™m starting to think you are utterly deranged

thatā€™s fine, but it still doesnā€™t explain why you make up things and more worryingly how the images transpiring in front of you get lost somewhere between yours eyes and the brainā€¦oh waitā€¦

Offaly first up is a tough draw for anyone. Physically tough match that will be or should be in any case like last year irrespective of the result b

Offaly are a shambles.

I know that. They have been truly dreadful, but they got the dander up for kk last year and rooted them up and down the field. Tough game first up, and Iā€™m not talking about scoring here.

It gives you no enjoyment whatsoever to say that I imagine

Itā€™s extremely heartwarming indeed. But I agree with flatty that itā€™ll be a very tough opener for Kilkenny against them in Nowlan Park though. I expect Offaly to hold Kilkenny to 7 goals or so.

Brian Whelahan is making Ollie Baker look like a decent I/C manager. Didnā€™t think it would be possible

At least he had the balls to take it on, for good or bad. Others such as Duignan and Regan are content to bleat from the cheap seats.

Yeah, It seems Siceā€™s brief departure was down to getting the hump at being dropped and he will be back training this week. According to some lad on Hoganstand, Duane and Concannonā€™s dropping is their own doing and Mulholland canā€™t be blamed. He goes on to state that he canā€™t believe that the reason for their dropping hasnā€™t become public knowledge yet. Now, we must remember that this is Hoganstand weā€™re talking about here so the reason might be something as trivial as leaving their tea-bags on the sink rather than putting them in the bin, but obviously something has happened. Of course they are both from St. Jamesā€™ so the auld Townie attitude might have got them in a bit of bother (Conroy has Connemara blood and is therefore a thoroughly alright sort). Concannon comes across as a bit of a scamp and heā€™s no great loss anyway, Duane is a big loss though, even if he hasnā€™t completely lived up to his early promise yet.

Lundy canā€™t finish for for shit, sounds just like just what we need. Missing O Currain today big time. Results going against us elsewhere but at 8-5 weā€™re still well in this one with a ā€˜galeforce windā€™ in our favour the 2nd half. Is Finlay injured for Monaghano or what, class act that lad

Galway trail Monaghan 5 points to 8 at half time in Clones, Donegal lead Armagh by a point, any word on the Laois match?

Ah fuck it, Laois 9 points up on Down

Laois 1-10 Down 1-1
Donegal 1-5 Armagh 1-3
