5 of the 2012 team starting… he’s giving youth a chance in fairness.

Consistent first name/surname throughout, well done. @dodgykeeper made a bollox of naming the Limerick team and will be a significant factor in why we lose tonight.
That was a bad win by a bad team today. Very bad stuff to be honest. I think Johnny Glynn could be our next Iarla Tannin, he’s not not much good but fuck me he’s efffective, a right pain in the hole for the opposition. Flynn’s worst perfrormance in a Galway jersey yet but he get’s a pass today as he’s probably only out 5th choice freetaker Conor McGrath is about as brilliant a hurler as I think I’ve ever seen
Would love to have been there. Great to get a win, but in the past few years “we” have seemed to become more adept at winter hurling than summer. Pitch maybe heavy for brehony? How did young hanbury play?
Being honest Flatty, you didn’t miss much. It was a terrible game of hurling for most of it.
We did plenty of route one high aimless ball into the forwards so looks like we have a lot of learning to do from last year still.
The pitch was a disgrace and the Galway county board should have played in Duggan or Kenny Park but I assume they were afraid of the traffic situation. There was circa 6500 at the game and would have been more if it was in Athenry I reckon.
Think Hanbury had a tough enough time of it but held up fairly well. Clare were rotating forwards so he was on Reidy for a while and then on Duggan from what I recall.
Brehony was non existent today and is probably better suited to summer hurling.
Galway (HL Division 1A v Tipperary) – Colm Callanan; Johnny Coen, John Hanbury, AN Other; Gearoid McInerney, David Collins, Iarlaith Tannian; Joseph Cooney, Andrew Smith; Padraig Brehony, Jonathan Glynn, Dean Higgins; Cathal Mannion, Jason Flynn, James Regan
AN Other, haven’t seen that in a while
Mind games from AC, doubt he’ll start

1987?
Yeah.
Walsh dropped, I’m assuming for his rather erratic performance’s thus far. Still no sign of Conroy. Flynn out for rest of league with a knee injury.
Galway (FL Division 2 v Laois) – Manus Breathnach; Declan Kyne, Finian Hanley, Cathal Sweeney; Paul Varley, Gareth Bradshaw, Gary O’Donnell; Fiontan O Curraoin, Enda Tierney; Sean Denvir, Patrick Sweeney, Damien Comer; Michael Martin, Adrian Varley, Danny Cummins.

Is Walsh normally so wishy washy?
He was immense last year.

He’s still been playing well enough I thought and surprised he’s been dropped if that is in fact the reason why. He does have a tendency to be laxadazical at times and can cough up possession rather easily so maybe this is a slap on the wrist for that. Maybe Walsh is making a point that reputations don’t count with him. Doubt it would have happened if the other forwards weren’t playing so well, Sweeney, Varley, Cummins all been flying so far. Great opportunity for Damien Comer tomorrow too, big things expected here.
Walsh is carrying a slight knock
Having seen the state of the pitch for the hurling against Clare in Pearse literally looking like someone chewed it up with a plough just that morning you wonder how bad things must be in Tuam for this game to be called off. Fucking ridiculous having a match out there anyway in the midst of all them North Galway yokels.
Footballers in free fall, what’s going on?
