King Henry of Galway (Part 1) 👑

I back galway limerick are going down after beating a bad clare team

Paul Killeen had some game at 3 this evening. He must be close to the senior the at this stage. He could have been the man for Callanan.

Super game. Marked a very good player (albeit not in his best position) out of it today.

He has been touted as a really decent hurler for a while. Glad to hear he is coming along.

Jesus Tipp were fair poor at times.

Mcgrath & Woodlock got roasted in every fashion possible bar a Spit.

What’s all this craic about a father of one of the players bursting into the dressing room at half time during the A/I final?

Was he brandishing a makeshift sword ?

Could you perhaps be a little bit more specific?

Go on.

I am happy to have just opened the can of worms, I shall let one of the Galway men kick it over

Allegedly Gerry Mac took a hatchet to the door in a staged attempt by Cunningham to show his players what real hunger was. However it turned out it was a PVC door so the axe got wedged in it which led to mass confusion as Mac never actually made it in. Or so I heard anyway.

Harte’s ould lad.couldn’t blame him really. Cunningham is a donkey

Disagree.

He had no business in there. Cunningham is the man in charge and a decision was made be it right it wrong. His son is an adult, I’m sure he could have handled it.

You really couldn’t make it up.

Galway hurling country has a higher proportion of deranged roasters than anywhere else in Ireland.

Strange as people from Galway football country are generally quite sane and civilised.

What?! You think it should be fair game for adult players’ parents to head into the dressing room at half time to row with the team manager?

Not my experience. Sanity and civilised are not words I associate with people from north Galway and Connies. People from south and east Galway, while not exactly fully domesticated, do display some signs of being able to function in a modern society. I imagine with the latter it’s frequent cross border interactions with Munster folk that has tempered them somewhat.

Cross-border interactions with Clare, Tipp, Offaly…Civilised? Sanity? Domesticated?

Galway stands as a beacon in the middle of a fog. A safe-haven. And it’s ethereal.

Stupid question - of course he was. Can’t walk out the backdoor without grabbing a length of water pipe. As a man making a foray into bovine territory, you’d better wise up.

How did he gain access to the dressing rooms when poor old Teddy mc was denied entry to the stadium
