Up there with Presley, Lennon, Marley and Strummer as a prophet.
The fuck are you on about?
Calm down, pal. I think he is referring to your thread from last week.
Oh right. Apologies. She has told every mutual friend she could think of btw.
Bootleg tape of a show they did in Cork in 1991, as opening act for Sonic Youth.

People nearly always forget about these two albums, or some of the gems on them, when they think of Nirvana⌠Nevermind, and to a lesser extent In Utero, are fantastic albums- but are over produced too- The care free raw sound of the albums above are much more appealing to meâŚ
Songs like Dive, Stain, Turnaround, Aneurysm (Incesticide) - Blew, School, Love Buzz, About a girl (Bleach) Capture the essence of the band and the man.
Canât say I paid much attention to them to be honest. Wasnât blown away by them anyway, but thats the lot of a support band I suppose. I was there to see Sonic Youth.
What was the Top Hat like as a venue, Fag? By the time I was old enough to go to a gig, it was only a roller-rink and then a kidâs play centre.
When I see the list of bands who played there, not to mention the raves, I feel like I missed out by close enough to get pissed off.

It was grand. There were some fine venues in Dublin back in the day. The SFX, McGonagles, The TV Club. Even the State Cinema in Phibsboro.

You can say a lot about In Utero but you wouldnât call it over produced.
Sure they wanted to bring in Scott Litt after Albini had finished with it because it was barely listenable.

Well it was more aimed at Nevermind- But All Apologies, Serve the Servants, Dumb, Heart Shaped Box are all fairly polished⌠But yeah- Touretteâs , Radio Friendly Unit SHifter, Scentless Apprentice etc are wild, Penny Royal Tea too is fairl emotive---- I know Kurt felt he sold out with Nevermind and you can see him trying to return to form with these latter songs but the care free nature before fame, that makes Bleach and incesticide, are worlds away from In Utero.
I was amused to find out that the SFX is named for St. Francis Xavier. I always imagined it was something to do with special fx/rave cultureâŚ
The oul lad tells me of seeing Thin Lizzy in the National Stadium and the bouncers not allowing the crowd to stand until Philo got on the mic and told them that if the people wanted to stand then they should be allowed stand.
Where were McGonagles and the TV Club? Who did you see there?
And were you at the Ramones show in Phibsboro that Kevin Shields was at?
Courtney Love is an evil bitch. I hope karma visits her real soon.

If that shit is for real, i is hunting that cunt down.
What in that article has raised your ire about Love?
I had you down as one of the good guys, I must review my assessment policy immediately as its obvious you are a detestable cunt of man.
Iâm a big fan too. Maybe not an album band (though Iâve never really tried with them) but some set of singles to their name.
Remember that tune Big Me with the Mentos ad piss-take? Thatâd be a marquee song for most bands. With the Foos youâd nearly forget they ever made it. Some tunesmiths and Pat Smear on guitar gives them all the cred they need for the snob.
