La Liga 2013/14

Dinger of a game here in the Sanchez Pizjuan.

Is that horrible cunt with the cornrows in his hair gone?

No, still sub keeper

Pinto?

Madrid in trouble here, Cr7 no where to be seen thus far this half.

Heā€™s a shitbag.

Agreed, pal.

This game in sevilla is entertaining.

Cristiano has had two non-appearances this week

4 minutes added time.

Atleti hold on for the winā€¦ Last minute here in Seville

Yes!!! Two losses in 4 days.

Disastrous night for Royal Madrid. Cristiano Ronaldo was a huge loss for them tonight.

Massive swing in the La Liga title race in the last week.

For all the criticisms of Aresnal and Man United not beating anyone decent this season, who have Real beaten? Theyā€™ve failed to beat Barca and Atletico and are unconvincing against the next tier of teams in the league.

Is that Real Madridā€™s title shot blown? A couple of weeks back they looked to be flying but two defeats on the spin leaves them three points off thekr cross town rivals and two behind Barcelona with a worse head to head against both meaning it is effectively and 4 & 3 point gap.

Granted Barca and Atletico meet on the last day of the season but it may well be a case that Real would need to take 22 out of 24 points from their last 8 games to win the league. Along with competing in the Champions League it could well be beyond them.

While I know many rate Xabi Alonso highly and he is a very good technical footballer I cannot remember him having a solid game let alone a good game against Barcelona since he joined Real Madrid. Was anonymous again on Sunday evening.

Good point on Alonso. His best games against Barca have been those when he has been relatively anonymous. In others he has been downright poor.

Putting Pepe in there beside him or instead of him seemed a bit desperate by Mourinho but itā€™s really been their best tactic in trying to stop Messi from finding space deeper and in also blocking the threat from the likes of Iniesta, or at least forcing him wider to find space. When they donā€™t have at least one of Pepe or Khedira in midfield to help Alonso then he gets completely overrun.

atletico are away to bilboa at the weekendā€¦they will be doing very well to take 3 points from thereā€¦also donā€™t underestimate how draining atletico v barca in champs league will be for both of themā€¦there will be so much hype domestically about that gameā€¦where was varanne for el classico?

Didnā€™t Varane come on as a sub for Benzema after the sending off

only saw the first halfā€¦

Yeah, Varane came on after Ramos was sent off.

Amusing last night when the bench instructed Bale to hit the injury time freekick. Ronaldo shouting and making gestures at them then when Bale harmlessly ballooned the ball over the bar.

Espanol 0-0 Barcelona after 61 minutes.
