I tried it once - it was disgusting.
You were well liked down in Iniscarra at the time.
A real woman will do whatever she wants to and not be dictated to by what others think pal. I think youâre missing the point
Iâve never once said women canât do what they want, mate -
You just tried to dictate above what a real woman would and wouldnt do its this attitude projected onto women thst holds them back.
Anyway i believe you were known as a man who would say anything to get into the freshera camogie team in your latter decade in Mary I. Why the pauline conversion mate?
You used to think fierce fondly of Eimear once upon a time bro, who so hard on her now?
Oh my. Paulie is so busy chasing around a few threads peddling misogony he cant keep track of himself
No one ever held back Mrs OâSullivan
A piss take thread? Whatâs this supposed to be? - Off digging up old threads to justify womenâs rugby
i wonder will the snowflakes round on Conor Pope now for the misogynist feigning of an interest in womens sport in an attempt to enhance his own media standing, and will they look for his bald little head on a pike?
Not even remotely, I just donât understand why youâve turned on Eimear. She seems like a decent sort, not harming anyone. She even turned her back on camogie. Isnât that something?
I couldnât give a fuck really, pal ⌠I just find it funny that girls can walk into the national team having never played the game is all - I suppose the menâs game isnât too dissimilar - The best of luck to the ladies over the coming weeks.
Why were you wailing about her turning her back on ladies football earlier so kid? Answers on a postcard paulie
Iâve gotten my answer about 15 times already mate âŚ
Isnt it great to see the Irish U18âs basketball side doing so well of late?
The Ireland Under 18 womenâs basketball team recorded their fifth consecutive victory of the FIBA U18 Womenâs European Championship Division B this evening, finishing out 20-point victors over Ukraine (77-57) to remain top of Group D and march on to the quarter-finals unbeaten.
The tournament hosts became the first ever underage Irish squad to come through these group phases unbeaten and now advance to Fridayâs quarter-final clash where their likely opponents will be Israel.
The side will enjoy a well-earned rest day tomorrow before the big game, and Coach Tommy OâMahony is looking forward to the break after an extremely tough test against Ukraine.
âThat was the toughest game weâve had in the tournament so far,â he said. âIt was certainly the first time they were really tested. They hit seven shots in a row to really dig themselves out of a hole and itâs not something weâve done so far. Itâll serve us well heading into the quarter-finals.â
Indeed, Ireland struggled early on to get to grips with a physical Ukraine side, with 6â5 centre Tetiana Havrylchyk causing them a lot of problems inside. Foul trouble gave Ukraine 11 points from the free-throw line and they drew level at 15-15 with a determined drive from Viktoriia Kovalevska after seven minutes in the first â the closet any team has got to Ireland so far in this championships.
Cool heads prevailed for the girls in green, and one of the stand out stars of the game, Meathâs Rachel Huijsdens, kept her calm under the boards and pulled down some huge rebounds to send Ireland back into the lead by the first buzzer, 24-17. A controlled second quarter followed, with Ireland dictating the pace of the game and Huijsdens, Maeve Phelan, Louise Scannell and Bronagh Power Cassidy delivering on both ends of the court and shooting well from the perimeter to see Ireland lead 47-30 at the half.
Ukraine were determined not to go down without a fight though, and soon had the game closed back to seven points. Huge scores from Sorcha Tiernan and Louise Scannell settled Ireland once more, and a Dayna Finn steal proved crucial to keep momentum with the girls in green to drive on home to a 20-point victory in the end, 77-57.
Ireland now face Israel in the quarter-finals on Friday, August 11th.
Exactly. Fat lads like John Hayes who took it up in his mid teens. Not like soccer or hurling where it would be rare that an elite player didnât start playing the game as a young child and developing the skills. When you donât have a skilful game, you can take it up at any stage, especially if youâre too fat and slow for other sports
Just nice to see girls out doing what they love pal
I havent though. Why were you so upset about her turning her back on ladies football.
They literally couldnt give away tickets to the other games in UCD yesterday. Foreign journalists trying to find the stadiums were bemused to find more signage to a horsey show than this global tournament.
Just stop digging now, pal â Youâre dancing all morning.
