Thatās excellent darts from the PM. Heās not played badly at all here but is up against an in-form Hankey.
Quietly giving a fine account of himself.

Ted hits tops with his third dart. The three darts perfectly vertically aligned as he made the incremental adjustments downwards.
hank makes it look easy
And there it is! A 3-0 win!
Heās back!
Welcome home, Ted Hankey!
Terrific fillip for Greek darts as Kostas Pantelidis beats Darren Peetoom 3-2 to advance to the first round proper.
Trina Gulliver wins a final leg shootout to settle the debate against Dee Bateman in the Ladiesā championship.
After Fallon Sherrockās shock exit, at least thatās one of Englandās Golden Girls through.
Maureen Smith from Peterborough is the winner of tonightās meat raffle at Lakeside.
Congratulations and enjoy your prize, Maureen.
Very distasteful anti-BDO bias from Barry 'Ern to not select Jelle Klaasen for the pdcās āChampionshipā tournament.
Did the lovely Anastasia make it through mate? The way she sashays up to the board to collect her darts is almost hypnotic. I was lucky enough to see it with my own eyes a few weeks ago.
Iām afraid not. Beaten 2-1 last night by Dutch debutant Anca Zijlstra.
I will now be throwing my full support behind Aileen de Graaf, who i was chatting to at the tournament a few weeks ago.
Nice lass.
Did i hear right that this is the last year the BBC will have this tournament Sid?A fucking shocking decision if so
Itās well known that the BBC plan to scrap all sports coverage outside of the World Cup, the Olympics and Match of the Day. The Open, for instance, was ruthlessly dispatched by them without so much as a second thought.
The only other event that they are considering keeping is Lakeside. Negotiations are continuing apace with both sides optimistic of a favourable outcome, ie. keeping the championships on the national network, in partnership with BT Sport, the worldās fastest growing TV sports network, who just last week unveiled a much expanded portfolio of BDO darts coverage for this year.
It just wont be the same if its not on the bbc young people wont take it up numbers will fall but the BDO will survive, the pdc will have nowhere to poach players from
Scotty Waites is BACK.
The 2013 champion and Grand Slam of Darts winner may not not be 2 Hotty in the looks department these days, but he has a tasty looking new woman and heās just demolished Willem Mandigers 3-0 with a 98 average, knocking in 142, 136 and 141 finishes along the way.
Heās looking chuffed with himself in his interview on the worldās second most famous stage, the Lakeside practice room, and rightly so.
Itās become impossible for the BBC to justify spending public money on this farce. It is sad, but it was inevitible.
Yawn
Just having a look over on the Double Finish forum, recognised as the worldās premier darts forum, and I see that the thread for Day 2 at Lakeside currently has 68 pages, compared to the 32 pages devoted to the pdc final.
The darting public have spoken respectfully but authoritatively about which organisation is best.

Viewing figures for the pdc final last year 1.7M versus 3.5M for the BDO,I think the numbers speak for themselves
Theyāve retained half of the Six Nations rights until the early 2020s. They also still have Wimbledon.
