Anyone following the Laochra capall or whatever it’s called on TG4 on Thursday nights.
Full hour tonight on Dawn Run, enjoyable. The owner Mrs. Hill would fit comfortably into the “difficult witches” category. Her antics upset the Mullins family somewhat but Paddy was wounded badly by it all. Johnjo O’Neill emerged un-scathed for a Cork man.

Great show. The Gold Cup was one of my earliest sporting memories along with barca losing on penalties and Greg Blaney and John o driscoll in the compromise rules. Remember watching it after school and the famous commentary. My aul lad must have had it backed or something as he generally wasn’t a huge racing fan. The dying in France was a big deal at the time too. Don’t remember the match race with Big Bucks that looked a great occasion.
