Laochra Gael - Back, and to the left hand on top

I’d have no idea. In the doc he never mentioned rugby. Said he was basketball mad whilst boarding there. I’ve always found it strange that the Dublin schools don’t dominate Leinster post-primary football at all. Must be a vast spread of players scattered throughout the city.

Yeah for football there is no one strong school. Schools dip in and out and also in a lot of dublin schools there are few male teachers now to drive gaa along. Colaiste Eoin are an outlier in hurling. You could prob make up a current team with ex pupils.

MDMAs old school Colaiste Eanna was pure basketball similar to Vincent’s, star of the sea and North Mon.

Joe Quaid LG will be good, he lost one of his testicles in a munster quarter or semi final didn’t he? Used to run up to the terrace with his hand on his balls jumping around in front of Tipp supporters and they clapped and cheered him? (long time since I read Last Man Standing).

Think Cian o Sullivan was blackrock and Fitzsimons was CBC monkstown …Murchan and ger Brennan were Belvo… colaiste eanna won a few A hurling championships.

In reality schools make fuck all difference - these lads were on development squads and getting fast tracked there instead of ooh he can kick a rubby ball 20 yards. Schools was secondary to their development as a footballer

Machine of an athlete, would’ve been very good in any sport really.

With his speed and engine, I’d say he could’ve played soccer at a very high level.

Exactly …Keaney and Shane durkim went to terenure…

Actually Think Niall Scully went to colaiste eanna too…

As I said private schools in dublin don’t make any difference. They might have to play for a rubby team on a Saturday cos they’re a great of athlete but their focus is dev squad. The whole private school thing is a misnomer now - college has equalised that. It’s only for thick cunts who can’t get in anywhere else

The height mustn’t be as big a deal in Irish basketball

In the programme Thought Macauley barely mentioned blackrock, referred to it more as ā€˜boarding school ā€˜ā€¦he clearly hated the place

Watch the way Murch picks up the ball and buries into corner forward and then works his way back out head up looking for openings
