Laochra Gael - Back, and to the left hand on top

Even Dan Shanahan’s dribbly enough extra time strike in the 2010 Munster Final should have been saved, albeit it was low and close to the corner. He let in a load of soft goals against Waterford.

Would you say it was a suspicious amount of soft goals he’s let in?

Hats off to Ritchie.

He was a match winner. I’ll never forget his goal in '88, running back out the field while being mobbed by Galway fans.

The 1988 final above all will be remembered for Johnny Carroll’s half time performance with his Magic Trumpet.

Barney Rock. Legend.

FAO of the Galway lads or the archive experts Sidney and Geoff. Who got man of the match in the 98 football final? I know Donnelan had that famous run from deep and was generally good all game. Joyce got the goal and a few points. But the game was won by the second half performance of Ja Fallon. I was in the canal end and they kicked that way in the second half and he was unreal. Can’t remember who got the MOTM.

Derek Savage?

Oddly that name came to mind for me too. Think he won his All Star off that game.

God I hope you’re wrong.

Sean Og De Paor and Kevin Walsh were the two names that came into my mind but I really can’t remember.
