I was introduced to, and had a long chat with fergal byron today. An absolute gent who I would log in the appropriate celebrity spotting thread, but alas it was work related.

Still very involved, was Coaching Officer for a while there in the County Board. His young lad is a very good keeper too. Courtwood would be the definition of a small Club but have cultivated a fine young team and sit atop Division 1 of the Football League alongside Josephs and ahead of the likes of Portlaoise and Portarlington. No mean feat. A group of decent sorts.

They’ve torn it up and redoing all the drainage, an incredible job tbf. Should be up and running again in a few weeks

Rathdowney missed a big chance against St Mullins that time - although they’d probably have been hammered by Ballyhale anyway.
