Every county makes payments. You think Shefflin, Pat Ryan, Brian Lohan and the rest are doing it for free. Galway spent over ā¬2m last year in preparing its hurling & football teams, the first county to do so. Cork negotiated a 5 year sponsorship worth ā¬3m in 2021, Kerry are sponsored by Kerry Group, one of the most profitable Irish companies out there, etc, etc. Limerick are no different to any other county with population over 150k.
