More than 45,000 viewers switched off the RTE Late Late Show last Friday as Patrick Kielty hosted a GAA special.
The GAA episode did get an extra 33,000 viewers on the RTE Player and also beat out the Tommy Tiernan show for viewers.
An average of 323,000 viewers tuned in to Saturday night’s Tommy Tiernan Show, an increase of 9,000 on the previous week. His show featured former Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Shay Given, comedian Deirdre O’Kane and artist Bernard Canavan.

Instead, we’ll most likely have Olcan McFetridge, Sambo McNaughton and Big Niall Patterson on to discuss the upcoming 35th anniversary of Antrim making the All Ireland Final and what it was like to be playing hurling back in the troubles.

I’ve never heard of this DJ Annie McManus from Dundrum (South Dublin) who’s on here because I’m out of touch with the young people these days.
The totally awesome Uaneen Fitzsimons would have been a certainty to be on Kielty’s Late Late had she lived.
