Sadly no politician can change that.
Of course they can.
Adams has achieved far greater than that already in his political career. You vote people like the Healy Raes and Lowry in though.
It has been rotten if not absolutely sickening for the last 9 years in particular, but SF need a more coherent plan and leader imo to be a viable alternative.
I’ll give a 3rd preference, but that’s as far as It’ll go being honest. To me their priority seems to be people who are completely marginalised rather then the struggling working people
That’s just the way I see it mate.
Can Gerry repair every pothole & sort planning permission for every 2 storey house?
That is a joke alright and reflects on the fuckwits that come out of Kerry.
Is Martin Ferris in danger of losing his seat in Kerry?
Lowry would from what I hear
Coherent plan? Viable leader?
Why do SF need this when successive governments have never had it?
SF without Adams as leader in this Election would be piling up new voters. That is a sad fact, sad for Gerry & sad for SF.
Sad for the free state electorate.
To make the proper breakthrough in the 26 they do pal.
The establishment are obviously a different story. If SF are to take power they need to be exceptional in that regard to take the undecided and some loose core voters from the other 3, at the moment they’re close but the two points that I referenced above are the stumbling block.
Mary Lou and Pearse know that too.[quote=“Nembo_Kid, post:629, topic:21980, full:true”]

Arguable alright. But, his history whether admired or distrusted is an issue for floating voters.
‘Right is right even if no one is doing it; wrong is wrong even if everyone is doing it.’
In life absolutely mate, but in politics that goes out the window.
On the mention of Lowry there, just looking at his facebook page. Its like he’s the leader of a fucking cult with the absolute worship of him
Well I’ll do and speak what I think is right.
Adams is a man of great integrity, a man who was not posturing and words, who has dedicated his life in fighting for the civil liberties of his people, sure he made mistakes along the way but he has more backbone, courage and conviction than any sleeveen, self serving government official in the last 30 years.
Massive issue. Too easy for the other parties to use against him.
He looks after his constituents well, if he wasn’t looking after the people of Tipp he wouldn’t be getting the votes.
It was a massive issue for Eamon Gilmore too, didn’t hear much about it though.
Sin Fein will have to win close to the majority of seats needed to ever get in.
