Leinster Hurling Championship 2024

Yeah but i suppose the point being is here we are after all the calls to remove him and pretty much in the exact same position already. He migjt not be happy, but he may feel more vindicated that he wasnt the issue

Next week is the biggest Wexford game in a while. Going out with a whimper two weeks in a row, kitchen sink incoming

The manner of that Westmeath loss aloneā€¦

Itā€™ll be seen how bad we are when he retires.

County board twitter account deleted the final score off their timeline for the amount of shite being replied to it.

Big time. @balbec sent me a message, I thought he was messing. Didnā€™t see that coming. Just watched the last 20 mins there and James McNaughton was immense, set up both goals. Wexford must be sick.

An exceptional talent. Glad heā€™s got the recognition and he has had his big day in Croke Park winning that Leinster title vs Kilkenny. Only for Davy he could have landed the big one in 2019. He should really have more than 1 All Star too. Heā€™d probably turn some counties into legitimate All Ireland winning sides if they were had him. I think that Wexford team underachieved as a whole under Davy. Some of the older guard were probably past their prime by time Egan was in there and it was 1 thing or another with injuries and varying levels of committment with some lads making themselves available and others not. Wexford seem to be able to produce good underage players (minors beat Kilkenny again today) but cant seem to capitalise on it at adult level.

2019 was a massive opportunity. A Tipp team at the end of its cycle that pulled out a great final 15-20 minutes. A poor enough Kilkenny team. A Limerick team that were still feeling their way around and lost three championship games. Nobody has had a sniff since, of course, but there was a chance to do something that year for Wexford

Wexford would not have won Leinster were it not for Davy. He raised the bar for that group massively.

Chin is our best ever player *

  • I didnā€™t see much of the Rackards.

They were at the peak of their powers back then. A huge opportunity wasted. Yes theyā€™d have had to play Kilkenny in the final but they definitely had their number and would have fancied turning them over.

Weā€™d played KK twice in Leinster and we were 3 points up on aggregate. And that a dodgy penalty.

Better than Tony Doran? I suppose Doran had a stronger supporting cast.

Thatā€™s the City Cemetery behind Corrigan Pk. Itā€™s more famous cousin, Milltown is on the either side of the Falls Rd. Michael Stone done his solo run down through Milltown towards the M1.

Whatā€™s Conor Macs story? He seems to get worse every year. Was a super player when he first broke through

I dunno but he missed the entire league with a tricky enough back injury so Iā€™d say he isnā€™t firing on all cylinders.

Rory just back from a long lay off too.

Yes. But itā€™s very subjective.

In fairness to McDonald he scored two points in the second half late enough on but then had a couple of standout poor decisions on the ball after that & these became stand out moments. There was also the overturned free before that. Weā€™re at nothing though.

Mighty stuff.

The Wexicans are heading towards Biffo status soon, that was a shambolic performance today, Corrigan Park joins Cusack Park in 2022 and Wexford Park in 2023 in the litany of infamy, a pity really we are down to only 7 hurling counties in the country now.
