How does any referee get 35% added time?

Serious question simply on principle. The equivalent to this afternoon’s carry on at end by Thomas Walsh would be 12m added time before halftime. Just preposterous.

That would have been a great win. Good performance. Ref made that a draw. Harsh free on TJ and then no free against Burke doing exact same thing. Tommy Walsh very poor. Otherwise great to see young lads doing well.

I found it a bit odd alright. Be interested to see how many GAA games go more than 1 minute over the allotted injury time

He did in his fuck. Fintan Burke was fouled before the Whelan score to draw but we didn’t get the free because Niland was nailing everything.

He announced three minutes then TJ took a more than a minute standing over a free then sauntering out to the 65 to stand over that. Then an injury which stopped play another minute.

Distinctly odd. Question of straightforward maths, over and above individual incidents. Good luck to Galway but simply impossible to generate a 35% extra portion of time, whether in the first half, the second half or announced added time.

KK lads seething cos Galway were Galway but it’s the refs fault they only got a draw in a round robin match.
