Leinster Hurling Championship 2024

They shouldn’t even be listening to it really.

Are they going showing football now before going back to the hurling?

Agreed. A yawning gap at the moment.

I actually think there might be something starting to click again with Dublin hurling.

They should beat Galway next week.

Wexford’s potential winning margin against Carlow is irrelevant. If three teams are level in Leinster, scoring difference is based only on the results between those teams.

Yeah but Wexford drew with Dublin so I’d assume scoring difference would have to come into play then should they finish level on points?

Yes, you’re correct.

Was he taken off at half time ?

Would like to see them beat galway too. But when it comes down to it galway will probably do enough.
Cian ó Sullivan big loss too. Quality forward which they don’t have a lot of.

No, but he really stepped up to the mark when needed - ten-stepped in fact.

100% - his pace exposed the lumbering Galway defence last year and allowed him take advantage of their other perennial weakness - bombscare goalkeeping

We are in the minor and u20 leinster final too which is a bigger achievement than it used to be with Galway in leinster now

Does score difference matter to Wexford today?

I see there -8 on the handicap which is low if they need to put up a score.

Dublin collapsed in the last 15 minutes after getting what should have been the all important goal against an out of sorts Kilkenny.

We lost the last 15 minutes 1-5 to 0-3. I’ve seen Dublin hurlers collapse loads of times but yesterday wasn’t one of them.

Only if Wexford end up on the same number of points as Dublin. They can’t use head to head in that scenario as they drew when they met

There’s a very real possibility that Wexford and Dublin both end up on 5 points at the end of the campaign. In that case it’s vital that Wexford win by about 15 points today to give themselves a chance of squeezing through on scoring difference. Otherwise they must not lose to Kilkenny.

A 3 way tie of Wexford, Galway and Dublin all on 6 points or Kilkenny, Galway and Dublin all on 6 points is also a distinct possibility.

You’d have to give Dublin a shot in salt hill. They probably should have closed it out last night

Shefflin was steeped that Antrim had the man sent-off yesterday. Galway were trailing by a point at that stage.

Yeah , that’s what happens to teams like Antrim in that scenario. They’ve made progress but are unable to readjust to give themselves a chance when this happens.
In fairness Galway haven’t even flattered to deceive this year so far

Think we’d taken the lead but I take your point.

Dublin should win on Sunday, hope I’m wrong.
