Exactly theres no hiding behind some uninspiring win in a quarter final now. But it was ridiculous, going back to the same lads for a decade. We won five minor all Irelands in a row. Are we going to get half a team out of that. Or even try to. Only problem is, thereâs no plan and no plan on who to trust with rebuilding.only thing Iâd say is it has to be a galway manager whoâs willing to stick it out for a few bad years.
Galway and Tipperary really struggling to deal with modern hurling/throwball/rubby league.
Along with KK, the strongest teams of the mid/early 10s donât look after the ball in the same way as the others, regularly launching balls from behind their own 45 up on top of forwards who are lovely strikers but not fast/strong/combative. The main reason KK continue to perform is their pig ignorance and TJs ball winning capabilities/free taking.
Conor Cooney gave another Conor Cooney performance today with 0-2 from 6 shots. Joseph Cooney is not fit enough and Niland is a passenger off the ball.
Disapointed for David Burke but he only has himself to blame.
Absolutely, he was more a save us from Davy choice a the time. But the job was way too much for him. He saw it as a stepping stone to the Kilkenny job, which he will never be let near now.
Hed definitely condition a young squad, even if they havent really got a squad yet. Iâd take him though. But would he want it? Getting this right is bellews biggest test.
Badly need to start Whelan and McLoughlin together in 2025. Two lads that will win a ridiculous amount of ball.
The interplay from Dublin tore us asunder. They couldâve had 4 goals in the first half alone. Crummey nearly always gives us a hole-opening. A fantastic player.
Yes fair play and best of luck to the Jackeens.
Poor year for Galway. Only beating Antrim, Carlow and Westmeath between league and championship. Looking and relying on lads there since 2012. Shefflin didnât offer a lot but he hasnât had a lot to work with.
Congratulations to Dublin. Well deserved win. Thought at the time that the red was harsh, but Dublin used the extra man very well.
I donât think Henryâs tactic of playing a two man ff line and no half forwards is overly shrude.
Good first half.
Damp squid of a second.
Very poor crowd considering.
Enjoyable afternoon otherwise.
Dublin played well, but I fear wonât overly trouble a good side.
Time will tell.
The ref was poor and should be hooked from IC.
The Leinster final will attract a crowd of 33k and Kilkenny will win by 11 points.
Dublin will bring about 1k support to Thurles for the 1:15pm quarter-final start against Cork in Thurles on Saturday June 22nd and will lose by 16 points.
Iâd be a bit more optimistic.
They wont win but theyâll give KK plenty of it and be decent against Cork with better days ahead and not sweeper in sight.
