Great contest . Deegan is old school , hardy corner back .
Yep, nobody thought that much of him when he was brought in first but heâs developing well.
Galway went out to put KK to the sword today and they were dead right, Tipp have previously failed to kick KK when they were down in years past, Galway werenât going to let that happen today. They utterly dominated the physical battle, if theyâd managed to get the forwards firing on the first half it couldâve been very embarrassing for KK.
Not overly surprised or disappointed with the result / performance from a KK point of view. This team is years behind Galway in terms of development and conditioning. Very pleased with the performances of Deegan, Maher and Scanlon (he needs to strengthen up a bit though). Disappointed with some of more established players Buckley and TJ. Walter is fast becoming our most important forward
Our best player
I thought Maher was very good too
Cillian Buckley is easily rattled.
Walter Walsh nearly ended up out on the beach in salthill once or twice trying to free up to hit on his right, I donât know why coz he threw over a lovely score off his left on the run in the first half
One of the worst pundits ever
Daithi Burke absolutely levelled scanlon for the penalty. The difference in physicality was immense. Galway are all big strong lads and have the cut to go with it. Theyâll take bating
Mcinerney is Galways weakness.
Mcinerney is Galways weakness
Which aspect of his game would you say leaves him exposed?
Heâs very frail, did you not see Walsh landing him on his hole?
Itâs quite hilarious, his old lad used to get the same criticism.
Pace. Drop your half forwards deep, use a pacey Centre forward, turn him and youâll expose him. He has no pace and sits deep in front of Burke to stop this being exploited. He should have walked today.
Thatâs hilarious. Itâs like saying a defender doesnât like to be turned.
Na itâs more his sheer lack of pace and the minute he is , he goes for the foul.
I thought Burkeâs foul to give away the penalty was a really stupid tackle and couldâve ended up with a red card.
Ah sshhhhhtoppppp.
Old news this. Iâm just glad the likes of Brian Cody or Micheal Ryan havenât cottoned on to such an obvious tactic
Burke and mcinerney could easily have seen red and people are thinking this Galway defense is rock solid. Galway are designed for tipp and kk. Theyâll struggle v limerick, cork and Clare.
Tipp and Kilkenny have the slowest forward lines in the country.
