Jesus lad, keep out of this or throw up your Celtic Crosses. You’re talking through your hole…again.
He’ll be brutally exposed in the wide open spaces of Croke Park. Lehane would have an absoutle field day on him. Ye guys for the most part haven’t a notion. His rep is built on games v tipp and kk who as we’ve seen in recent weeks are absolutely crap.
Are they after making it bigger?
He hasn’t faced any teams there yet that’ll run him about. He’s as slow a boat. He’ll thrives against tipp/kk who by and large play a similar style to Galway.
Ah go away you spoofer. He hoovered up ball today. He’s a class hurler
He should have been sent of today. He’s a fine hurler but very overrated. He’ll be destroyed by cork if they meet.
Well you have cork wrote off as clean shite so he wont have to face lehane the man who said would destroy him
It’s the way they play. They’ll pull him every each way and won’t tower ball down on top of him aimlessly like kk and tipp.
Fuck all difference in the sizes of stadia. If memory serves me correctly he’s yet to be exposed anywhere.
And as the sage summarises, the more you practise the better you become. He’ll be a nail-on for an All Star within a month. Granted, he may be a tadéén ponderous, but trust me, he’s the real deal at what he’s at.
You’ll have to go back to the Ger Henderson era for his type of 6.**
**Coat time…
Sure what team wants their centre-back pulled out of position chasing his man about the place? Your ideal scenario only happens if the Galway forwards drop their workrate altogether and give the Cork backs time and space to pick out Lehane. Different challenge for Nash as well when he’s looking down the field trying to find space among the bigger Galway men.
That has nothing to do with anything. If he played kilkeny a few more times he’ll be fine. The likes of Clare, limerick and particularly cork will ruthlessly expose him. People were saying the same thing about Paudie maher and Ronan maher after 2016 that they were totally unbeatable etc etc. Cork last
Year and limerick this year exposed them by exposing their weaknesses. It will be the same with G Mc.
But sure cork are shite they wont meet GY?
You’re an alright sort of lad but let this McInerney issue go ffs. You’re talking through your hole.
No team does but some teams are more used to it and have better counter measures than Galway. People are building this whole Galway defense into something they are not. Both Burke and mcinerney should have walked today. Kilkeny have little pace and tipp even less. These are the teams Galway thrive against because they lack pace and tend to hit high 50/50 balls into the forwards. If you do this against Galway you’ll lose. If you have raw pace and pull their defenders around the field you’ll make hay v Galway.
He won man of the match in the semi final last year and was nominated for man of the match in the final. Hardly an indication that he’s struggling in Croke Park.
Against tipp though. Tipp have zero pace.
Every centre back in the country is picked for size, dominance and hurling. If someone wants to pick a runner and leave the likes of hannon, paudie Maher or McInerney loose and free will be looking at the ball going back in over their heads from clearances and puck outs.
Sure we only stopped paudie Maher by putting arguably our best back on him.
I don’t know what you see as the ideal centre back but McInerney is pretty close to it. Daithi Burke is pretty much the perfect modern day full back too.
Any day fellas are saying the full back and centre back could have been sent off but weren’t is fine with me.
The whole point of tactics is trying to turn strengths into weaknesses. Tipp and Kilkenny play into Galway’s hands
They’re not hitting that kind of ball in if they have time, they’re doing it because they’re under pressure. Neither Clare, Cork nor anyone else will dominate the Galway forwards to the extent that they’ll be picking their passes down the field.
Yezzer like sausages in a frying pan ffs sake.
