Itā€™s my GP who offered the surgery opinion . Iā€™ll be seeing a specialist next week and Iā€™m not planning on going the surgery route unless he tells me Iā€™m going to turn into Christy Browne.

In more positive news the pain has eased considerably and I was able to put on my jocks all by myself this morning.

Is he the vet ?

No. Heā€™s a healer.

I wouldnā€™t let a GP operate on my back.

There was a vet down that neck of the woods used to do similar work . Some swore by him.

Dont fucking do this @binkybarnes

Surgery is a last resort @binkybarnes, a guy in work has had surgery twice on discs over the last few years and heā€™s fucked. (Completely anecdotal once off info but I said Iā€™d throw it in there)

Stay well clear of Wexford park at the weekend, travelling for long distances in a car and sitting down on a bench like that for a long period of time will set you back something wicked.

Stay as mobile as possible, plenty of walking and heat at the source of the pain, sounds mad but I find Deep Heat great. Double up on paracetamol with the Difene

The Difene will cut the stomach out of you after a few days btw

Head down to Simon Lambert and sons 3 hours before the game and drink away on their own brew. Youā€™ll find at least one beer at about 9% ABV. Float up the ground then. Your back will be the least of your worries

Mineral Ice is quite good too

Fairly straight forward wexford team picked. No surprises really.

A lovely tradition continued tonight with our family get together and dinner on the eve of Wexfordā€™s championship hurling opener. Reedā€™s at Liam Griffinā€™s Ferrycarrig Hotel was an appropriate venue this year and I felt obliged to pluck for the Strawberries Three Ways for my dessert - 1) Strawberries & Cream, 2) Strawberry, Mint & Prosecco Jelly, 3) Strawberry Pavlova. We all had a wonderful evening.

I now hope the recent civil war within the Wexford panel has been properly sorted and we can get the win we desperately need tomorrow.

Thanks Fitzy.

Iā€™m looking forward to Crummey and Jack Oā€™Connor tearing lumps out of each other today.

Iā€™m a little concerned that we may be undercooked today given weā€™re one of the few counties to pause for club activity in April.

Thatā€™s possibly compounded by Davy allowing the players head to Portugal for some bonding/downtime without any training.

If both teams are intent on having an extra defender then Oā€™Keeffe is likely to push forward for us.

No real surprises in the team but at least a couple will be starting their first championship game.

Guys, Wexford are warming up at the Clonard End. Whatā€™s that all about? Are we switching benches? What about all of us who arrive into the stand 90 minutes before throw in to take our position behind the Wexford bench? Itā€™s too late now to move to the other side of midfield.

Not sure if serious

Apologies, 100 minutes beforehand.
