This live TV coverage of the replay was announced yesterday.

As if they were going to show Fermanagh-Kildare or something ahead of Galway-Kilkenny in hurling.

Have Galway ever won a championship match in Thurles?

Ok, thanks for that.
Assuming a reduced attendance for a replay and the fact its televised, Iā€™m guessing an attendance of about 30K. Capacity is about 46K so I presume they will open both terraces.

Read somewhere yesterday that they might put on the Limerick V Galway minor match before it.

Have Galway ever played a championship match in Thurles in the modern era. I know they were in munster years ago.

They absolutely annihilated Cork there about three or four years back, in a quarter final. 2015?

Waterford v Dublin might have been on there on the same day, as an attractive double header. Cc @mickee321

They stuck Limerick v Galway in the minor on there too the same day. A triple header.

They beat Clare in a Quarter Final in 2016 in Thurles

Nothing else to be doing :slightly_smiling_face:

Limerick now advance in the round robin All Ireland MHC series - playing Galway next weekend and then another game against the beaten Leinster finalists Kilkenny. Two of this trio will reach the July 28/29 All Ireland semi finals in Croke Park.

1986, beat us in the AI semi. Scored 4 goals on us. Three man midfield was ground breaking, Naughton tore us a new one. They tried it again v Cork in the AI final, Cork too cute though
