Have you explored all corporate hospitality avenues?
Iāve turned down the Cairde Loch Garman pre-match event in OāConnell House (home of Notre Dame University in Ireland) & is the premium section even open for a game that will attract a paltry crowd? It might be, I guess, so Iāll take a premium or general admission ticket.
Hold the phoneā¦ Dublin Cairde Loch Garman members get a pre-match event? Makes me feel even more fobbed off on paying the ā¬300 last yearā¦
Succulent lamb, cheeseboards, wine/champagne, match preview panel, limo to the match, corporate box ticket, post-match hookers & cocaine. Are you sure youāre on the mailing list?
Must check there, may get in on this. Could imagine myself there with someone like Larry Connors and Ed Rowsome beside me now with Penelope from Ballyfermot on me lap now as I think of it.
Sent you a PM there, separate matter to help you out.
Whatās the feeling for Dublin-Wexford, lads? Could anybody explain to me how we conceded 1-26 to Antrim last week while playing with 7 defenders? I saw Jackie Tyrrell saying he presumes Dublin moved to Croker because the profile of the team has changed. Physical lads like Crummy, Rushe & Cian OāCallaghan more suited to Parnell Park not involved & faster, lighter lads on the scene now. Weāll probably have OāKeeffe sweeping again, will need to figure out who to put on Donal Burke but will largely be going with the same set up as last week. Rory OāConnor and Liam Og McGovern the inside two.
Conceded quite a bit, but a lot of them were frees and soft ones at that. We got opened up down the middle too much tho. Dunbar was very good attacking from midfield. Not so much defending and a lot of their better attacking came from there. They also were very complacent in the second half. I wouldnāt read too much into it really tho to be honest. I expect to beat Dublin and Iād see it to be comfortable. Itll be disappointing if not, I think the team is good enough and capable enough. Thats not to write Dublin off who themselves think this is the game to send them through also, but i do think we can win
Good stuff. Iām coming around to the view that weāll win Leinster but Iāll confirm this opinion after I see us hurling.
Iām not sure Iād be quite as confident. Weāve only beaten them once in the championship since the triple header in Croker back in 2008 by my reckoning. Iād agree that we have a stronger spread of marquee players though. Youād imagine theyāll be reliant on huge performances from Eoghan Oā Donnell and DĆ³nal Burke so if we shackle the latter then we should have an edge. Iāll opt for a Wexford win by 2.
Iād be slightly wary of Michael Oā Donoghue as well. I know he was over Galway when they were dumped out in the Leinster Round Robin in 2019 but heās also a former All-Ireland winning manager. Heās up there to *coach in an All-Ireland quarter-final and anything less than that is failure for him. Season defining game.
*And for the money.
I heard Eoghan OāDonnell is carrying an injury. They have a decent set of backs though. I think they might lack scoring threat, outside Burke, but OāSullivan is fast & Hayes & Considine are physically imposing. That said, itāll probably be quite an open game in the wide open spaces of Croke Park & on a fast surface too. So I think itāll be quite high scoring despite my feeling their attack is limited. I think high scoring is just a by product of the game now - puck out, shot, restart. Overall, I can see why weāre trying to get a mobile side out tonight.
This lad is decent for getting cheap tickets/tickets for hard matches I found.
Surely Dublin will throw the kitchen sink at them here?!
Pity this game isnt on in Parnell park.
Interviewing the referee? Thatās a new one.
If any person or seagull at this Dublin v Wexford game in Croke Park could do a quick 360 scan of the attendance with a phone camera and upload it here, that would be great, thanks.
The fella doing the camerawork here hasnāt a breeze.
Standard fare for the GAAGo games this year.
