In fairness, he doesnāt play up to it at all.
The cunts inclusion in Croke Park came on the back of omitting Gary Plunkett from the starting 15. Diarmuid McKiernan was similarly shafted. Plunkett has opted out of the county panel for 2020 (Australia) and will be a bigger loss than 5 Mulligans.
FAO Terryā¦ Thereās only so many times you can kick a dog before he bites you.
McKiernan was badly fucked over.Is he back with the squad?I think heās actually better than McCrann at this stage.
Did Gary Plunkett start for us last year at all?
Didnāt he kick about 5 points from play in the county final last year?
Thatās a good question that Iām unable to answer immediately. He did however kick vital points in Aughrim and Newcastlewest in the closing stages of the league.
I have the feeling that Hyland doesnāt trust the Aughawillian lads, see the way he fucked Fergal McTague over the day against the Rossies.
Heās a free scoring lad when he gets the run at it.
In other news weāre in the U-20 final Sunday V Carrick. We defeated the SoH-Kiltubrid amalgamation last weekend. Itās scandalous that Ballinamoreās canāt muster a squad on their own with what pick they have. Weāre a small rural parish and even have 5-6 subs of our own. Townie cuntsā¦ Grrrrrrā¦
That was utterly bizarre.
Carrick gave Manor a woeful bating.
That was a super point in injury time agin Limerick.
I gave a quick glance at the Observer there. Mulligan has an interview/podcast transcript about how he doesnāt see eye to eye with Hyland and he hasnāt received the phonecall to join up with the panel.
Not sure whose side Iām on there.
Hopefully Darragh Rooney is around anyway - heās a cracking player.
You mustnāt have much grĆ” for Hyland then.
Some bizarre stuff before that Roscommon match. I think that is the general consensus at least around Mohill.
Championship in general was a big disappointment.
Mulligan is done.He hasnāt had the legs for county football for a while. He was a fuckin disgrace against us in the semi final with his carry on.Im surprised no one busted him open.Weve a decent young team who if they stick with it will only get better.I believe staying in Div 3 should be our main aim this year.
Who will be our 3,6,8,9,11 and 14 this year.
3 Mctague
6 Wrynn
8 Moran
9 Dolan
11 Plunkett.
Iām not sure whoāll play at 14 but with the mark coming in well need a big man in there
A quick recce says weād have to beat the big 3 next summer to win Connacht. A very tall order.
Our target should be retention of D3 status but even thatās a big ask. Louth, Longford and Offaly are beatable and we should target these games.
Iād agree with Farmer that last yearās championship was a shambles.
Dean McGovern will fill in at 14. Big and strong but lacks the pace for further outfield stuff.
Iād see it as vital to start Mark Plunkett at 11, heās a super athlete and has two great feet.
We have the carcase of a team at least, just to put a bit of meat on the frame.
Plenty of good lads for other positions-Maguire, OāRourke, Conor Dolan, Heslin, buckets of heroesā¦
The league will be very interesting this year. Hyland, rightly probably, seems to place a big emphasis on it. Probably as relevant of a test as weāll have this year.
Weāre unlikely to pull up many trees in the championship. Retention of league status should be the priority.
A bit of experience and mental toughness should see us in a better place from 2021 onwards. Weāll win Connacht in 22ā¦
Terry has the Dublin based boys out in Blanchardstown twice a week already.
Leitrim mean business in 2020
Luckily weāre avoiding the opener in Gaelic Park. Fuck knows what would happen given recent reports of touring sides.
