TERRY
You have it there. Weâre better with continuity at this point. There are a few plus points:
Continuity. Heâs going into his 3rd year, knows the lads.
Cheap. The parsimonious nature of the C/B theyâd nearly want him for free.
Media. Terryâs not averse to expressing his views and does so quite well.
Savvy. He has a fair idea of whatâs required even if his methods are unattractive.
Popularity. Everyone, bar a few are glad of his commitment. It counts in the end.
The usual C/B shills will be delighted, naturally. The dissenters, having failed to secure the services of Jim Gavin, just have to get behind the jersey yet again. Themâs the joys of it.
Was anybody else even vaguely interested in this job?
Jim McGuinness met with the Board. He had a âblueprint for successâ and received what I heard described as a cautious if cynical reception. Jimâs plans were costed in the region of 1.62m. and were summarily dismissed by the Cathaoirleach as âlacking ambitionâ.
Thatâs what your up against, bogged down in conservatismâŚ
The Management upheaval has drained some of the wind out of our sails. The panel is awash with watery townie sorts in luminous mauve and pink boots who have little intention in inflicting pain. Weâd need a half dozen (insert favourite hatchet man) to add some resolveâŚ
With the typical efficiency you associate with Darren the thing wonât play for me. Meh!!!
Well done
Thanks
Terry wonât be over the under 20s next year. Important to get the right man for that gig
Are Mulligan and the Cap still over the minors?
Mulligan is anyway so presume theyâre all still there.
Bennyâs abandoned the baseball cap and gone for a more roasterish version.
This tactical move could, in time, be viewed as a gamechanger. Weâre up aginâ it.
Sure whatâs new
