Leitrim Gaa 2021

Even Longford. Regular in Division 3, a few qualifier scalps and excellent club sides.

I’d be happy with that!

An inter county job for any aspiring manager is a good gig. Personality is a big thing.

The first thing I want to see is that their fit,I’m fuckin sick of seeing them gassed after 20 minutes in most games letting lads run past them. They have absolutely no excuse nowadays for not being fit.

True. In fairness last winter against Mayo they did well - put in the shift. I think motivation was completely gone this year - no interest whatsoever. That’s down to management as well. Probably not up to proper fitness levels either.

Which Plunkett had a mighty match in the county final a few yards back when the Willies beat Mohill?

I think it was Gary. Where is he now?

Terry didn’t like him iirc.I think he scored the winner in injury time against Limerick in Killmallock in Feb 19.He had a great eye for a score

3 statements there, every one of them on the button. If your face didn’t fit then you were out. He had it in for the Willies lads - Gary & Noel Plunkett, Fergal McTague, Sean’s (Flanagan and Fox) and possibly Morgan Quinn were deserving of a better chance than they were given.

Benny the Cap has offered to step in, caretaker style, until a permanent replacement (Benny the Cap) can be ratified at the next CB meeting which because of current schedules will be in Sept. *

  • May be speculation.

Mark Plunkett played for Hyland though. Surely he wouldn’t if he screwed the lads around.

SeniorSenior draw for this year

Every one of them county standard but only 1 given a proper chance.Insanity when you think about it.

Mark is a step above the rest of them in ways above and beyond football.
There have been plenty of tensions between Hyland and the Willies hierarchy but Mark has risen above it, kept his head down and got on with it. Even at that he’s been utilised at 6,9 and 11 as the selectorial ideas whizzed around in Terry’s head. MP is a top lad, knows the lie of the land…

What does MP do for a living @anon67715551 ?

Múintéoir I think.

Pauric Davis is looking for a job atm

Ye got the soft group for a start anyway. We’re staring relegation in the face already before a ball is kicked. Manor’s to lose. 8/11 with Pyramid bookmakers already.

Manor are finished.I doubt we’ll win 1 game

I don’t know if he’s looking but he’d be the immediate port of call. We’ll liked in Mohill and would know most of the lads kicking senior in the county.

You can’t rule some shitehawkery from Kinlough “giving something back” guff making the media at some stage.

That’s a non runner for a start.Who we get will depend on how much $$$ comes from McLean Ave.Things are busy there work wise atm so funds shouldn’t be a problem.Davis would have a good knowledge of the county scene.Would Kevin Walsh have any interest? His style of football is terrible though. There’ll be calls for Darcy but I doubt he has any interest.

I forgot to say that Paddy Maguires father died the other day,he’d been sick for a long while.RIP.

In fairness to Terry he wasn’t hard on money from what I hear. The Kinlough quip was just that but his name will get an airing. Darcy is flat to the board work wise as you’d imagine. A mild correction re MP, he has a technical position with Mace in much the same field as Donal W has with Lidl, quality control type stuff. It’s RoR has the muinteóir role.
Mickey Graham has a bit of a profile, a possibility, Kevin Walsh would be a retrograde step IMO. There won’t be a long list.

Condolences to Paddy, I hadn’t heard that. He was off the pace on Sunday and when you see him struggling you know you’re toast…
