Leitrim Gaa 2021

You can be assured that the Cathaoirleach* has all this covered in some opaque paragraph.
Anyway wouldn’t a rake of laps and a bit of backs and forwards do for a start with a D4 outfit……
As @Massey says we haven’t overdone that aspect of it for years so any effort will be seen as progress but like all previous incumbents success is based on 2 yardsticks here:
Can we get promoted or
Can we bate the Rossies.
Batin’ the Rossies equates to winning a Connacht championship.

A fine summation although for some reason I thought you would be more enthused about the appointment.

When you cast your mind back to some who have worn the Bainistéoir bib for Leitrim in the past 20 years you might wonder how the game survives here at all.
To be fair to Terry Hyland he took back the reins of power into the Manager’s hands but just a little to brusquely. I hope Moran is a raging success because the players are honest lads who’ll respond in the main to decent leadership once it becomes a mutual thing.
On the bright side several undesirables didn’t get it. Hi Emlyn….

I hear Adian Rooney was close to getting the gig.

With all due credit to Aidan that’s the level of imagination that’s been expended here.
Take the positives from it - the Cathaoirleach fought off overtures from Benny the Cap.

Benny will be hanging around looking for scraps, wouldn’t be surprised to see Rooney as a selector.

Semi-final weekend. Moran, if he appears, will find the SoH/Mary’s clash a tight battle. I feel that SoH will just have too much for them. Mohill will decimate the mini-townies by whatever.
SoH 4/7 Mohill 1/8 if you fancy a punt.

You’d feel he’d have to make an appearance this weekend if he’s got the job.I want to see him in Carrick every week from now till the finals, all of them not just senior.

I don’t know I think Mary’s might bate SOH.I hope they do anyways

Grand in theory but, but Ballaghadereen are kicking tomorrow and presumably for another while.
See what I told you - he’s potentially attracting grief already. Eslin in action this weekend as well :pint:

The Cathaoirleach will be orchestrating all the minutiae of the appointment.
Anonymous critics on social media will be hunted down and silenced. Bí cuaramach a chara.

26 mins gone

Sean O’Heslin’s 1-08
St Mary’s 0-03

BSOH 11 up late in first half

Eslin 0-04 Annaduff 0-01 at water break.

BSOH 16 up midway through 2nd half.

Big win for SoH - 3-15 is good shooting. Mary’s must be very poor all the same.
Eslin on fire with a comprehensive win against Annaduff’s 2nds.
Meanwhile in the prestigious arena of Junior B the red and black stalwarts battered Manor to the death.
There won’t be a tap done until Tuesday in the historical village of Fenagh.*

  • Which specific Tuesday has yet to be determined.

Despite BSOH’s show of strength today, I have it on good authority that Mohill and LG will still fulfill tomorrow’s fixture.

Listen here it’s Mohill’s to lose.
