I started your thread for you, Sir.
No offence but I went out on a limb for you there. I feel that the least you could do is contribute a few examples of the sort of clamping you had in mind when you suggested starting the ‘archive’
I’m pleased to see you’ve regained a modicum of good manners. I’m invested (financially) in the golf.
I’m then going to have a few snifters and consider the week ahead ( weather prospects, urgent matters, removals, funerals and general mundane issues). I shall give your thread my undivided attention at the earliest opportunity. I do note that it has received unwarranted rejection from an authorative poster so we’ll need some suitable accelerant to make it fly. The prospect of a surrender in the golf is likely to jeopardise my interest.
Can’t ask for more than that, Sir
Update…Ian Poulter’s remarkable record in Ryder Cup singles has scuppered my bet.
An assault on the liquor cabinet beckons.
Delighted for Bryson Drumshanbo and the rest of Team USA. They’ll hit the gunpowder hard tonight
Andy Moran by the sounds of things
I heard that yesterday alright.
I’m not sure what to make of this,I really hope it works out.Tbf every lad that wants to play county should be chomping at the bit to play now.We can have absolutely no excuse for fitness now cause if this fella can’t get them fit nobody will.Any chance he’d bring McDonald along with him.Liatroim Abu.
He has no experience but everyone has to start somewhere. He comes across as a very articulate and charismatic guy and was an inspirational footballer. Hopefully he brings all those qualities with him to his managerial career.
How did he do with Ballaghadereen this year? He was doing a bit with the Mayo U20s the last couple of year as well going off the podcast
Not great with Ballaghadereen as far as I know.
He wasn’t the manager though I think.
I thought himself and Barry Solon were joint-managers, or at least it was reported as such
What are Ballaghadereen like though? He’ll surely have them fit and competitive anyways with promotion from Div 4 a priority. If the B competition comes in we might give that a rattle and win a couple of games.I just hope he doesn’t come in and cost a fortune and fuck off after 2 years.
It could be, I heard that situation second hand.
He’s in his hayshed goin through the contract line by line. His response could make or break it for young Moran.
Underwhelmed just about covers it. I liked Moran as a player but he’s unproven in management.
Keeping all hands to the pump in Leitrim isn’t as easy as it should be and he’ll find this out himself.
We’ll might get a bit of a bounce but our ultimate aim to permanently escape D4 gets ever more difficult.
Kevin Walsh might have improved our concession stats while there’s no evidence that Moran will. I’d have been happier had the Politburo gotten Davis or O’Rourke but it is what it is. Nagging at the back of my mind is the vision of Moran getting us to an All-Ireland final only to collapse Mayo-esque….
I’m sure he’s a personable lad who can pull off the cheery wink and solemn face in a twinkling.
Best of luck Andy, something tells me you’ll need buckets of it before departure to more rewarding gigs.
Where’s the idea coming from that he’ll get the team fit? He runs a gym - he’s not a GAA S&C and athletics expert.
Our lads haven’t been fit in years,he can’t be any worse than what went before.
