Leitrim Gaa 2025

Just so I am sure.

That’s the Galway junior champions?

That’s a brilliant result.

Yes.Allen Gaels also put up a very respectable show yesterday against Strokestown.Lost 2-10 0-16 with the sheepstealers getting the last 5 points.

No luck for the combined schools.Nice win for Manor though

No luck for Aughavas today, Kiltimagh the better team but not world beaters and would not walk the Leitrim intermediate, if Aughvas took their scores in first half anything could have happened as they matched them for scores in the second half. Division 1 next will be a tough experience but should stand to them in championship and could make an impact

Fair play to them for the year they’ve had. Beating the Galway junior winners was a fantastic achievement.

My Mayo sources told me that Kiltimagh weren’t much of a team and Aughavas could easily turn them over but two big performances like to that back to back was always going to be a big ask.

Serios achievement. Allen Gaels performed credibly against the eventual champions as well, I think the smaller and more cut throat championships are starting to bear fruit, we will win that elusive connacht club title eventually (I know carrick won the hurling before but that won’t happen again until Easkeys dominance ends or they are allowed into intermediate).
Senior is a different animal, 3 division 1 counties to compete with is always going to be heavy sledging and would take a few years to really see results

Just say that Leitrim Gaels turned over Moycullen, they would he up against Brigids today. All potential All Ireland winners.

Yeah i think we can definitely win an inter or junior title.Cant see us winning a senior one for a while yet.

Fixures for the year are out

Statistics that the GAA official demographic report missed out.

The actual report itself is worrying. We haven’t the population to justify 23 clubs. 18 max I would say.

What ones would you do away with ?

I wouldn’t want any club “done away with”
You’d be looking at feasible amalgamations between struggling clubs of the same size and also then you can look at some of the junior clubs and amalgamate them with big clubs close by.

Like at underage?
I’m all for that but the powers that be will not agree to it until they can no longer field and clubs are disbanded and it’s too late, stubborn pride

I see that Keith Beirne does not form part of the Mohill contingent who have been called up to Poacher’s panel this year.

Keiths best days are behind him unfortunately

He did alright with Mohill last year when he came back into fold.

Jordan Reynolds also not part of the group. He has had bad injuries.
