I couldnāt get to it but was following the stream, they looked to be the better team in fairness, or at least their best lads had more of an influence on it. That said I expected young Burke to nail that free at the end of normal time.
Yeah I was fairly sure heād get it,and he wasnāt far away.To be fair to Manor they led all the way from the start and we well in control till they gave away the goal which seemed to spark ye into life.
I thought 5 Brady 9 O Dwyer and 14 Burke were yer best lads yesterday.10 Griffin stood out but mostly for his haircut and looked like he was doing a lot without doing a lot really.
Griffin was better in the games I saw up to this tbf. Heās off to the US on a soccer scholarship now so heāll be a loss to Miltown Malbay. Burke is as good a young forward as weāve had since Shane Meehan if he can keep right.
Is there many of those lads from over the Cavan border or all the best lads Leitrim stock?
Only one lad from Shannon Gaels and he was only a sub.The rest are from two clubs,Glencar/Manor and Dromahair.
Our lowest point.
The Poacher effect.
Ye were warned. Mickey Graham isnāt blameless either.
Horseshit. Explaining = losing
Itās the new rules fault
This is the inevitable consequence of the push towards professionalism. The likes of Dublin footballers, Limerick hurlers have unlimited resources and/or billionaire sugar daddies financing operations.
Lot of young men in their 20ās outside of the few top tier counties increasingly coming to the view that itās just not worth devoting all your free time, and more besides when there is little or no reward and such an uneven playing field.
The split season a factor as well, particularly for inter-county players in third level education. Most of the time invested now is across late winter, spring and early summer. For most players, Inter-County championships are no longer played in summer and early autumn any more.
GGA RIP
Thatās pretty shocking. Itās meant to be a pyramidā¦like did it not occur to the county management &/or county board to invite other club players to join the panel for this fixture?
Yeah, like whats the issue in getting another amateur hobbyist to step up
Correct.Pathetic stuff all round.Oh well the U20s are out on Friday hopefully theyāll give us something to cheer about
Poacher giving a masterclass in management. If we donāt play, we donāt loseā¦after 5 straight defeats. Charlatan. One very important aspect of management is the motivation of a large group of players. That crucial buy-in. If your players are willing to go through walls for the badge, the manager has done a large part of his job right. Itās quite obvious that not many eligible players are buying what he has to sell.
Poacher turned game canceller.
