A notable omission at this and senior level is a representative from Aughawillan. Like them or not they inevitably bring a the bit of steel and toughness that weāre criminally lacking.
I always felt that while Hyland was very clever with Mark Plunkett Andy Moran dismissed him out of hand along with Fergal McTague . Granted theyāre struggling for numbers but the current management need to find a 3&6 urgently. Diffley isnāt the answer and Iām open to suggestions.

Indeed. The present pairing while game are shadows of the other two. Keegan has been game and plucky, an ideal 11 but Quinn, while a good fielder tends to drift in and out and has the āyellow incomingā cut to him.
