In Poacher we trust,
We were very well set up. Both our kick outs and theirs we were excellent. General willingness to leave it all out there.
Missed scores in first half cost us but that’s not on Poacher.
Credit where it’s due.

I reckon if that crappy kick out after our 2nd goal was properly pounced on and put away, anything could have happened and we might have pulled off the greatest robbery since Northern Bank in 2004. Also could have been less wasteful in first half and left less of a gap at half time but c’est la vie
F that f’er. When you have managers jumping for money, what hope have the smaller counties against the big guns
You’d be delighted for poacher all the same . He’s come in for some proper nasty stuff here from the resident king of Nasty.
Sounds like Steven Poacher is working miracles in Leitrim, in much the same way that he did when he was in Carlow a few years ago.
Ye might enjoy this lads
Try pay for the article, good journalism should be supported.
I think it was one of our most spirited showings in many years and for that the entire team, management and extended panel deserve huge credit. We made a few mistakes and were punished (mostly) accordingly. Galway are a step above us in population, tradition, fiscal backing and self-worth. They never saw the abyss in the way we never quite saw the summit.
I was immensely proud of the lads, particularly the members of our own small rural club who provided 6 starters (4 McLoughlin brothers) and the O’Rourke cousins with 2 more on the bench…. One of these days…
Oisin McLoughlin was excellent.
What’s the relationship to Killian and TP?
Hopefully we can bring this form into the tailteann cup.Im not a big fan of Poacher but fair fucks to him.Thats 2 very good performances in a row against the so called bigger guns In Connacht (Mayo and Galway)where we’ve been very good.Id love to see what he could do if he had a full panel of lads to pick from.Hopefully theyre looking in and might commit next year,if anyone read the article @myboyblue posted youd see how hard it is for these lads and why its understandable that lads step away.Anyway as always Liatroim abu.
PJ throwing his bucks under the bus,not a good look
Tisnt glamorous being a footballer in a county where the hope is little and commitment off the charts. Still, the hope is that when the others start to come back to the pack you might be able to strike, not unlike Louth last year or anyone else in Leinster this year.
But I’d never begrudge any fella not going in when alls in it for you is pucks of abuse and little else. Tis easy in the counties where there’s prospects of success to justify putting life on hold. Look at all the Kilkenny lads abroad now when they know they’ll win fuck all.
I agree. I was in attendance in Pairc Sean yesterday and the Kiltubrid pipe band certainly lived up to your billing, as did your footballers.
A fine big physical team with loads of football and well set up. Barry had a difficult day with the boot but it wont put him off and hes a class act.
I expect a bold showing in the Tailteann cup.
We, on the other hand will go under the radar into the Connacht final having got good game time into Mcdaid, kelly, walsh & Comer.
Not a bad way to be going in search of the 5iar. Hopefully the sheep stealers and tik tok dancers bate lumps out of each other in Castlebar
Is there trouble in the Rosie camp?
Everyone was obviously in the @Boxty stand
I see a few lads lined out with the club yesterday
One or two on their way back but Ben is an odd one.
Yeah, great crowd there. Giving Prenty the two fingers for the scandalous price of the stand tickets
I’d say things have never been better. They must have some team if they can do without O Carroll, fallon and stack even in the squad!
