Leitrim Gaa 2026

I noticed he had an ice pack on his ankle after the Galway game when my young lad got a photo with him.

He’s a bit of a sicknote it would appear.

But he’s still great.

I’m not taking the bait there.

My sources indicate he’ll be good to go the following week when we’re away (again) to Offaly. Coach Poacher is clearly targeting a run at this competition and managing his meagre squad as best he can…

That Taj Mahal in Mohill is like a monument to themselves - grandiose or what…

There is of course the outside chance that Down beat us and then it’s Carlow (H).

Coach Poach FFS sake

Great credit is due to the lads wearing the jersies, down a raft of starters but not lacking in heart or effort.

100%,giving it all.A few years ago we’d have thrown in the towel by ht

When you’ve given it your all and emptied the tank there’s no more you could have done. Let the chips fall where they will afterwards.
They’re as game a bunch of lads as we’ve ever had and most of them 21-23.

Down pulling away now

Why are we still persisting with these long kickouts, weve won about 3 all day

Down picking us off from distance now

A home venue up next V the Scallionaters who pummelled us in the league. We’re even more depleted than we normally are but they’re somewhere closer to our level so we’re not without a punchers chance.

Youd hope Coach Poach was keeping Barry Tom and Cillian back for next week, thats definitely a game we can win.To be fair to the lads they kept playing till the end and scored the last 3 points.I asked earlier why Gaffey was going short and a minute later he shoed why although to be fair Down pressed us very high all day.We had no one to keep them honest and in the second half when thry were 10/22 pts up it was a bit easier for them to start shooting from distance

I’d be doubtful about the availability of the 3 lads mentioned particularly Barry whose injury is more serious than originally thought.

What can we do bar our best foot forward - the squad have bought into this spoofer’s line of patter and while we best Sligo and performed heroically against Galway we’re exactly where we were this time last year.

We won no match in the underage series so realistically we’re no better off.
The league table doesn’t lie was trotted out today on a soccer thread and sadly it’s a fact. We have comfortably the smallest pick of any county yet our aspirations continue to outperform the realities…

All true unfortunately. Its our fate.A tough station, but we’ll keep plugging along. Then again look at the sheepstealers,Div 4 10/12 years ago and look at them now.Louth too.

They have double our population and a thriving underage set-up along with a fine scatter of serious clubs (Boyle, Brigids, CnaG, Pearses among others) and an enormous self-belief in themselves whether merited or not.

Spot on. Mary’s are the only shot at a super club and id hate to see it… maybe that’s the problem with us?? They have the population no one else does…
Look, we weren’t going to get a result without the main men available to us, move on but take the learnings
