Is Junior A as follows:
Top of each group into S/F …
2 & 3 meet opposing 2 & 3 from other group to reach S/F
Bottom 4 into a relegation S/F and final.
When push comes to shove all 4 have 2 bites at survival then….
We will be in those relegation matches but should have enough for Glenfarne or Mohill.

He was a lovely footballer.
Haven’t heard of him in a while. Nice enough in his day. Despite an influx in recent years I’d imagine G/K are struggling for numbers.
Fine and dandy having middling numbers in the school but waiting for them to grow up and learn a few skills is agonising as you plummet towards Junior C…
Nice footballer tbf.Not the biggest fella.Played for Ballyboden for a few years before winning the Junior A (i think) with glenfare a few years back.The Sitka and planning permissions have not helped Glenfarne/Kilty no more than a lot of rural clubs.
Kilty got about 6 families in there about 5 years ago in some resettlement deal to protect the status of the probably 3 teacher school.
They were north Dublin families in the main and ne’re footballer between them.
If they’d gotten lads from ‘Boden or NAF they’d had some chance….

He was involved 2 championships ago for them, not sure if he’s still on the scene, him and his brothers good ballers and likely kept them afloat in the dark days when they were struggling to get 15 out. They’ve a 2nd team now so they’ve improved their lot a bit, just not getting wins on the board at any level.
Not even sure if theyre still living there.I passed through the village there a few times over the summer and its like a ghost town.As @thanks2me says at least they have numbers if they have a 2nd team which is something.
The sparring has concluded in the Leitrim round robin series.
A scintillating 2nd have from perennial chokers Fenagh where the contained their townie neighbours to a scuttery 2 points saw them into the Q/F comfortably enough. Mary’s too good for Derrygonnelly and Manor in the relegation final against the Willies. 3v6 and 4v5 up next…

Can’t see you getting by Carrick. A big win for them today.
They needed the win the same as we did. The points differential was very tight going in. Any of 4 could have been in the relegation final.
I think we have a punchers chance tbh but we’ll need a full strength squad to pick from. Manor to survive this one and win it next year as their exciting crop of young tyros develop and gain experience….
Any word on Big Barry and Australia?
I’ve heard nothing. He was playing this evening and slotted the customary 6/8 points. A year to go in UCD - I’d say he’ll see it through.

Fenagh v Mary’s will be a tasty affair. If Fenagh don’t win it this year I don’t know when they will.
Was happy enough for LG winning it last year, Fenagh winning it would really mean the new structures are bearing fruit and not the same 2 teams winning every year.

We are where we are no complaints here.A very competitive club championship to be fair.Every game matters.Thats a good thing.

Not privy to that but the committee are a tight unit and aren’t given to profligacy.
A‘no foal no fee’ or a ‘win bonus’ arrangement would be ideal but it’s difficult to pin down Cavan lads on these matters….
