There’s some sham landlords out there. I know of one lad who slithered off to the Mediterranean leaving his tenants without basic white goods, fridge, dishwasher, cooker etc. The poor fuckers still hadn’t an extractor fan last time I heard.

There was an entirely different reason for my post. It was a joke about a mutual acquaintance.

But you are wrong. A house does need an extractor fan. Before renting my property to Fingal council their environmental inspectors came and looked at the house and told us we had to install one. We had never had one in in all my time living there. You live in a family house iirc? As it it’s not rented? Then you can do what you like.

He’s been so so.

A lot of the mistakes he’s made (bad politics) were made by his predecessors. What’s disappointing about that is that his manoeuvres when trying to be leader showed a killer instinct that FG have generally lacked.

He assembled a pretty good leadership team actually and he didn’t shy away from giving SC an easy win front facing role.

Some of it doesn’t matter anymore though. There was a time when Bertie going to a FDI jobs announcement would get only positive press. Now a MN announcing more jobs gets the rooral Oireland clique moaning, people moaning about housing and mentions of Apple and tax. We are a deeply cynical nation now, which is a pity.
