They have serious financial concerns, cracks were papered over this season with Bassey and CL money but they have no players they can move on for big money this summer, their wage bill is very high and they are losing half a squad for free;

He’s a mouthpiece. When he got the job he came in, talked everyone and everything up about the club, when things have gone a bit pearshaped he’s done the opposite. Their transfer strategy seems to be getting EPL and Championship rejects on bosmans.
Guys like Cantwell, Butland, Lawrence, Dowell etc aren’t going to do much for Rangers, they are all at the point of their career when they are chasing their last big contract, think Scotland will be a lot easier than it will and their wage bill is going to continue to balloon.

They then have crocks like Hagi, Souttar, Lawrence, Roofe all left on the wage bill.
With the financial problems they have, they look to be in serious bother.

It’s the lazy strategy. Guys like Cantwell, Butland, Dowell, Lawrence etc were once EPL players or touted as such or future English internationals. They seem to be grasping that they will get them and rehabilitate them. These guys are demanding big wages and signing on fees and they’re busted flushes. English football doesn’t have too many late developers who were on EPL clubs books and then suddenly come good in their mid-late 20s. Their trajectory is all downward and it’s merely them kicking the can down the road.
Beale came in and has put all his eggs in one basket. Talking up Kent and Morelos, hoping he could rejuvinate them and get them to sign new deals. They’ve both been tragic and both look like they are away for nothing. I don’t think Colak is much use but at least he was banging them in under Gio, he’s been jettisoned by Beale since he arrived.
They’re a mess. They were daft to sack GVB for some absolute spoofer like Beale.

First I heard of them going first class. They just got on the train for free, hence the saying on their cards “to pay is to fail”.
