@Rocko , @Bandage what’s the view on Rangers financial performance? A lot of negative comments from their fans
The media reported it as 80m in revenue with a 250k pre tax profit
I.e. a 4m loss and a team that needs a rebuild
Haven’t looked into it much myself. But they’ve posted a loss for a financial year where they earned CL revenues and generated a good bit from player sales (likes of Bassey). So favourable prevailing conditions, as they say, in those two key aspects, yet the still reported a loss and they won’t have those elements in their favour this year. Still relying on director loans & share issues to plug gaps & don’t seem to have a sustainable long term plan. I’d really need @Appendage, @briantinnion or @Tim_Riggins to review in more depth. Is it true that the huns themselves are claiming to be in rude financial health on their own media channels? Conflating operating profit with net profit and so on?
From the bits I’ve heard there’s a bit of head scratching and disappointment.
Is that in fan media and forums? The in-house stuff has tried to portray a loss as a profit.
As an aside, the hun penalty award & concession statistics continue to defy any precedent in world football. It seems they’ve been getting one or two penalties per game lately, another two last weekend.
Mcausland peno was a joke last weekend anyway.
Var stepping in here for rangers
Such a light penalty
Honours even
5 penalties converted & 2 missed by Tavernier in the last 4 league games.
11 of James Tavernier’s 13 goals for Rangers against Aberdeen have come from penalties.
Stupid penalty, but they were worth the point. Good job they’re not much better than us
Celtic are shit, Rangers are shitter
I’d say there’s not much in it Mick.
In a nutshell.
Morrison just smoked Boyd

Another peno given to the blues today.
