Let's All Laugh At Sevco Thread

I knew this would be great fun after the build up, bad blood and boycott.

Revealed: Rangers winding-up petition

<span style="font-size:14px;]<span style="font-family:inherit;font-style:inherit;color:rgb(38,38,38);]After some days of often feverish online speculation, I am now able to clarify the situation regarding the winding-up order which may soon be served against the Rangers Newco over a contract for services prior to the recent share offer.</span></span>
<div style="margin:0px;font-size:16px;font-family:Trebuchet, 'Trebuchet MS', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif;color:rgb(38,38,38);] <p style="font-style:inherit;font-size:1em;font-family:inherit;] <p style="font-style:inherit;font-size:1em;font-family:inherit;]Orlit Enterprises, based in Singapore, is seeking to petition the Scottish Court for a winding-up order against Rangers. Sources close to this legal action have spoken exclusively to <strong>Channel 4 News</strong> today. <p style="font-style:inherit;font-size:1em;font-family:inherit;]This claim arises from the club’s alleged failure to pay two of the four invoices issued by Orlit. The outstanding sum is £400,000. <p style="font-style:inherit;font-size:1em;font-family:inherit;]The source has clarified to <strong>Channel 4 News</strong> that Orlit Enterprises was contracted to source and introduce the investors who provided seed capital in order to acquire the club from the administrator and to secure the June 2012 payroll. <p style="font-style:inherit;font-size:1em;font-family:inherit;]Orlit did not participate in either the pre-IPO equity fundraising or the IPO itself. <p style="font-style:inherit;font-size:1em;font-family:inherit;]My sources indicated to me that there has been no satisfactory answer from the club as to its non-payment despite several requests. In the circumstances, the application for a winding-up order of the Rangers Football Club Limited – being the trading company obliged to pay the debt. Sources close to Orlit say they now have no other option than to embark upon winding up proceedings. <p style="font-style:inherit;font-size:1em;font-family:inherit;]We are seeking comment on this from Rangers. Of course they may well have very sound reasons and defence for not paying. <p style="font-style:inherit;font-size:1em;font-family:inherit;]This all sounds dramatic stuff and it may possibly play that way. But one should remember that winding-up petitions are often used as a method of extracting payment from companies.

Approximately 50% of new businesses fail in the first year.

New Sevco has a nice ring to it. The The Rangers could be another possibility.

The verdict on the investigation into alleged dual player contracts at Rangers is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow at midday by Lord Nimmo Smith. There could be possible sanctions against both oldco and newco, including stripping of titles. Should be a decent laugh whatever the outcome.

I’m hearing “guilty” but a fudge in terms of penalties…

Guilty! And the punishment is a £250k fine for oldco but there will be no title stripping.

“Players improperly registered were ineligible to participate in league matches.”

That’s gas.

scotalnd is an orange hellhole

The fine, which won’t be paid by the liquidated oldco, is a fraction of the money they avoided through non-payment of taxes when paying their players illegally!

That’s before you look at the rules that state playing illegal players should result in forfeit of matches!

And before you consider the titles they won and the revenue they accumulated (e.g. qualifying for Champions League group stages) while doing it!

It’s mad!

Here’s another exclamation mark!

And a final one!

Sevco have announced a £7m loss for the first 7 months of their existence to end of December 2012.

I’m probably late on this but…

They sacked Sandaza over this…

But Rocko / Raven / Crotty / Totti, what’s been going on with Sevco these past few days? Craig Whyte back on the scene? McCoist and Green war of words or something too? A summary please.

mccoist working his ticket

Can someone post up McCoist’s ridiculous goal celebration from yesterday?

All sorts of shit going on with Sevco. STV have a recording of Charles Green demanding money off Craig Whyte and it appears that whatever web of companies Green set up when he set up The Rangers…well none of them actually own Ibrox or Murray Park.

Fool me once etc.

This is also funny. A transcript of an STV interview with Green:

In the latest from STV’s exclusive interview with Charles Green, the Rangers chief executive is challenged on claims made to supporters since taking over at the club last year.

Specifically the businessman is asked to back up claims he had spoken to Manchester United, who he claimed said they were supportive of the Ibrox side playing in the English Premier League.

Manchester United, via a spokesperson, subsequently denied giving their backing.

Green is also challenged on an alleged tie-in with NFL side Dallas Cowboys. The club’s commercial director, Imran Ahmad, said a deal between the two was in the offing when he met Rangers supporters in a tour of North America in September.

The following is a direct transcript from Peter Smith’s interview with Charles Green.

PS: Have you ever misled the supporters by telling them what they want to hear?

CG: Never

PS: Never?

CG: Never

PS: You are clear about that?

CG: Yes

PS: What about when you said Manchester United were in favour of Rangers moving to the Premiership? They’ve clearly stated they were against it.

CG: The spokesman did.

PS: So you told Rangers fans Man Utd were supportive of Rangers moving to the English Premiership. Manchester United say they are opposed to it.

CG: So Sir Alex Ferguson wouldn’t like to see Rangers in his league? Who is Manchester United? You define Manchester United.

PS: Who at Manchester United told you that you were wanted in the Premiership?

CG: I’ve had discussions with a number of clubs.

PS: Who at Manchester United told you that you were wanted in the Premiership?

CG: Well… why do we want to know that?

PS: I think there is evidence here that has been contradicted by Manchester United.

CG: It’s been contradicted by a spokesperson from Manchester United.

PS: So is that spokesman not speaking for the club?

CG: My lawyers, who are advising on Rangers going into the UK, have been speaking to a number of clubs, representatives of clubs, to owners of clubs. I am absolutely very, very clear, from the discussions I’ve had with various people who are speaking to football clubs who would welcome Rangers to play in the English football league.

PS: Can you tell us which clubs?

CG: No. I don’t want to prejudice this club’s chance of playing in England by disclosing stuff prematurely.

PS: What about when Imran Ahmad told Rangers supporters talks with the Dallas Cowboys were going well?

CG: Well they are. I’ve got an email now if you want to read it after this interview from Dallas Cowboys.

PS: The Dallas Cowboys have previously told us there were no such talks.

CG: I don’t care, Peter, what they’ve said. I’ve just told you categorically, in front of the camera, when this interview finishes, I will show you an email where we are invited to go to Dallas Cowboys. The email came in three days ago. So either believe me or not. If you don’t believe me, you’re entitled. But I’ll show you and then I want you, separately, to apologise on camera to say you were wrong about Dallas Cowboys, OK?

So far, STV has not been shown the email from the Dallas Cowboys.

You’ve got to admire Craigy Whyte.

Seems he’s recorded all his conversations with Green and is drip feeding them into the public domain. Watched Green’s STV interview there and it’s epic. The zombies are going nuts again.

What was this racist allegation against Green last week about?

He did a “colour” interview with The Scottish Sun to basically show the man behind the The Rangers CEO and he was going on about calling a spade a spade and how political correctness is a waste of time and mentioned how he affectionately calls a black football pal from his playing days “Darkie” and his Pakistani business partner “my Paki friend”.
