Liam Gallagher Appreciation Thread

Watched some highlights of the great man at T in the park there performing with Beady Eye. Fantastic stuff from the Irish-Mancunian, seemed to be really enjoying himself.

Please pay some nice homages to the massive Wolfe Tones fan in this thread.

The guy is an ignorant, foul-mouthed asshole whose musical banality is being brutally exposed now that his brother isnā€™t there to temper the worst excesses of his trite, cocaine-fuelled, sub-Beatles output.

Dungeon

The voice of a generation.

Iā€™m not having that, no way. Liam is one of the greatest musical frontmen in history and an all round good sort.

Totti making a show of himself.

Like his idol he is better off as a big fish in a small pond.

If there were more posters like Mr. Totti this forum would be a better place.

There is no sweeter sound in the world than Liam Gallagherā€™s voice circa 1994-1998.

Immense vocal output here.

The argument about Liam Gallagher and Oasis is simple. They were excellent for a period of about 5 years and were exactly in the right place for their time. 99% of their musical ā€˜greatnessā€™ was down to Noel. Liam was and is and will always be an outrageous cunt. This served him well as a persona for a spell.

This thread is about him. He has excelled at cuntery in a way that most dare not dream to. Talent-wise, he is just a horrible cunt with an average voice and a very poor range. He also looks like he has appalling personal hygiene. Not sure if this is one of the reasons he is one of your heroes, it might be pure coincidence.

Iā€™ve always thought Liam came across as much more of an alright sort than Noel but heā€™s not really interested in playing the media game that Noel has. The media gave him this image of a loutish hooligan but I donā€™t think Liam ever cared too much about what people thought of him to try and change the public perception. He was rich, famous, successful and in the front man of the biggest band of the world, what people think or have thought of him doesnā€™t really bother him. Generally the accounts of past band member painted Noel as capable of being nasty and a control freak whereas Liam was much more affable, if rough around the edges.

And the guy clearly had talent, there are few frontman who could be compared to him, he had the menacing presence, swagger and vocal ability that few singers have

Beady Eye have called it a day. Had the pleasure of seeing them in The Olympia last year.
