Bad form from the bouncers so if he was causing no harm
We inadvertently booked tickets for the balcony when Pixies reformed in 2004 and played Brixton Academy. We actually didnât realise they were standing tickets until the day itself. When they walked on stage, the entire seated area stood up and stayed standing for the show . No problems with the security. You get a much better class of bouncer on the mainland
Talking to the songbird yesterday
Flew me to a past not far away
Sheâs a little pirate in my mind
Singing songs of love to pass the time
Gonna write a song so she can see
Give her all the love she gives to me
Talk of better days that have yet to come
Never felt this love from anyone
Sheâs not anyone
Sheâs not anyone
Sheâs not anyone
A man can never dream these kind of things
Especially when she came and spread her wings
Whispered in my ear the things Iâd like
Then she flew away into the night
Gonna write a song so she can see
Give her all the love she gives to me
Talk of better days that have yet to come
Never felt this love from anyone
Sheâs not anyone
Sheâs not anyone
Sheâs not anyone
Shakedown 1979, cool kids never have the time
On a live wire right up off the street
You and I should meet
June bug skipping like a stone
With the headlights pointed at the dawn
We were sure weâd never see an end to it all
And I donât even care to shake these zipper blues
And we donât know just where our bones will rest
To dust I guess
Forgotten and absorbed into the earth below
Double cross the vacant and the bored
Theyâre not sure just what we have in the store
Morphine city slippinâ dues, down to see that
We donât even care, as restless as we are
We feel the pull in the land of a thousand guilts
And poured cement, lamented and assured
To the lights and towns below
Faster than the speed of sound
Faster than we thought weâd go, beneath the sound of hope
Justine never knew the rules
Hung down with the freaks and the ghouls
No apologies ever need be made
I know you better than you fake it, to see
And I donât even care to shake these zipper blues
And we donât know just where our bones will rest
To dust I guess
Forgotten and absorbed into the earth below
The street heats the urgency of sound
As you can see thereâs no one around
