They used to big time with their mobility when their short passing game got going. I think they are kind of ripping up the playback this year though?
The regrading to 17s and 20s along with the lack of third level competitions is a huge ballz for them with the profile of their team. Iād say theyāll take a free swing and be back with a serious team in 22.
āGraeme Mulcahy, since his 2009 debut, has lined out with Limerick on 46 championship occasions and would leapfrog leader Mark Foley (48) should the reigning All-Ireland champions and the Kilmallock attacker enjoy at least three championship outings this summer.ā
Youād nearly take Mulās longevity for granted. And to think most of his career was spent with the ball being lorried into him as high as possible.
What a player. To think about three or four years ago I reckoned heād be confined to impact sub appearances from then on. Sometimes itās really enjoyable to be proved wrong.
Class player, well-deserved. A great example of what pure hard work can do; and for a diminutive figure, heās as good a tackler as is in the game.
Although in the round robin era, where Limerick are half-decent, youād imagine that appearance record will be smashed by players like Lynch, Kyle, Finn; injuries permitting.
Those lists are fairly meaningless now with so many extra games. Pretty much all the scoring records and appearance records of the past will be broken fairly soon. Itās kind of sad in a way.
