Limerick GAA 2022 - Dual Kings (Part 1)

It was 15 Tommy Quaid who put it in after an initial good block by John Oā€™Grady in goals.

The goal came just that bit too late for G/B, although it did give them momentum in the final stages. Effin were marginally more economical with their chances. G/B had a 7 or 8 minute spell just before the second water break where they hit 4 wides in a row. They needed those to go over. Thought G/B played quite deep too, often with only one man inside. They didnā€™t get close enough to goal to manufacture many goal opportunities. G/B were more direct with their play whereas Effin worked it through the lines a bit more. 9 for Effin, canā€™t recall the name (Fergal Oā€™Connor maybe?) was very good at doing the simple things. Laying off ball, finding a man in space, drawing the foul.

Heā€™s a potential Peter Casey lovely hands and good feet

Said as much to my father, Casey is the one player Oā€™Donovan reminds me of. Low centre of gravity too.

Heā€™ll be 19 next year Iā€™d have him on the panel

The Well beat askeaton handy in the Junior A. Not sure of the final score but it wasnā€™t a contest anyway. Shite game, two teams going through the motions. Grass a bit too long which didnā€™t help anyone.
Peter Harty rolled back the clock in the first half and had us in all sorts of bother.
We are a mile off it at the minute

He looks the real deal. The only thing is that he didnā€™t get involved with the 20s this year on the back of the 2020 minors, and one of the reasons was he felt he might be a bit small. But if Kiely asks him, heā€™ll hardly turn him down.

Serious potential.

@Gary_Birtles_Lovechi ye took some batin today from Newcastle

We wonā€™t let him cross the border like his uncle anywayšŸ¤£

We had a good run out this year in Junior B. Lost narrowly to Kileedy before hammering Glantine and Knockaderry. Always going to be tough against NCW, nobody was expecting us to win it. Gearoid Lenihan and Jack Shiels should be knocking on the door of the Intermediates next year. More positives than negatives :sunglasses:

Kilmallockā€™s point scoring from outside is unreal. Doon trying to play a sweeper but havenā€™t been able to pick up Oā€™Reilly and the ball inside hasnā€™t been great.

Josh Ryan has been good but Woulfe, Houla, Oā€™Reilly & Oā€™Donnell are all great shooters. Graeme lively on scraps, Oā€™Connor doing well.

Simon had the better of things inside but they brought him out and he hasnā€™t done much. DOD was lording it early on but Kilmallock have done well at bypassing him since.

Terrific finish from Oā€™Donnell for Kilmallock goal. Doon absolutely opened up.

Doon have been utter dog shit iā€™m not even going to give Kilmallock any credit they have been that bad.

A quarter final game no burden it appears

Class from DOD. Doon goal, game back on here. The two Englishes awake.

And Oisin again
