Limerick GAA 2022 - Dual Kings (Part 1)

Kieran’s lead 0-7 to 0-6 at half-time. Caherline have hit some very bad wides. Mackessy has hit 6 frees for Kieran’s, they don’t have much threat from play but they are dogged as fuck. Paudie Mac imperious at full-back.

Andrew Brennan has caught three balls but only a point from play, a lot of attention. Paudie Wixted got a very nice score and doing well but some of their other forwards letting them down shooting wise.

Tight game.

You’d be complaining more if we played „the balbec song”

Caherline 0-12 St. Kieran’s 0-8.

Huge quarter from Brennan. Went in FF for one ball, got a score and caught another 2 puckouts, won 3 frees. Paudie Wixted just landed a monster score to put them 4 up.

Johnny Mac is the only one to score from play for Kieran’s.

Curley kicked a goal chance wide the one time he got clear of Paudie Mac.

You know it. Don’t ever doubt.

Caherline 1-13 St. Kieran’s 0-10.

A goal with the last puck from James Kennedy secures it. Caherline the better team comfortably, way more hurling. Brennan phenomenal.

Paudie Mac was exceptional for Kieran’s. They had no pace inside which meant they couldn’t get away from the Caherline backs even when they won it.

Damien Gillane will be in demand after Caherline’s improvement this year.

He’s an excellent coach. Caherline have flattered to deceive a lot in recent years, obviously have some decent players but he’s got them all pulling in one direction, got them set up properly and got their best players playing well. All absolutely key at the lower grades in particular.

They were the best side I saw in the junior this year and well-deserving of their promotion status. Delighted for Damo too, a sound skin.

Have they finished the extension to the stand in the fair green?

Is that the side opposite the dugouts? Seats in but no roof on the newest section.

Yeah think the girders were up.

The Effin Stakers (i.e. Paddy O’Donovan Gaels) beat Killacolla Gaels in the U-21 A today; 3-12 to 3-10. POD hit 2-4 from play and another 4/5 frees apparently.

Cappamore beat Cathal O’Neill Gaels by a point in another quarter-final.

Monaleen vs Blackrock tomorrow, ourselves vs Bruff on Wednesday.

A few more Lee’s including the captain central to Monagea’s win today. They are some family.

He’s all class!!

If Darren is the MC things are going to get very messy. If @dodgy_keeper turns up he’s likely to go home with two Celtic crosses.

Marty won’t be happy. He took his eye off the ball promoting the buke
