Waterfordâs problems are in the head. Their psyche is all wrong and has been passed down through the generations.
Their heads dropped after the first water break in the 2021 semi final. Same happened in 2020 final and has happened several other times over the years.
The psychological scars from the 2016 Munster Final and the 2008 AI Final are still very much there.
The only time they didnt really collapse when they could have was the 2020 semi final vs Kilkenny.
Two big weddings in 10 days for the Kilmallock boys was unfortunate. Few injuries that they gambled on didnât work out. A bad day, it happens in sport⌠But you putting down Limerick based on Kilmallock who mopped the floor with the Cork champions is a bit silly.
Never said Cork champions were any good but surely worrying how much Kilmalock were outplayed on Sunday. Patrickswell would want to take a good look at themselves.
Preparation is everything for these really big games.
You might get away with a Wedding before a Co. Championship game in Limerick but as the standard rises in Munster, the small things can add up.
I think it was @carryharry was having a pop at the Mahonyâs for not going on a 5 hour round trip to see a Camogie match on Saturday, but youâd have to say they did the right thing.
Lookit, Na Piarsaigh had a down year and the likes of the Kilmallocks and the Ballygunnars of this world took full advantage. You have to hand it to them they saw their opportunities and took them. They can only beat whatâs put in front of them.
There is never any relationship between how a county team and club champions do in a single year. Shur when Na Piarsaigh won the All Ireland, Limerick were woeful.
Kilmallock have been priced as 4th favourites for the county title this year which isnât bad considering they are the current holders and will be adding one of the best young attack talents to come out of the club in a long, long time.
