Limerick GAA 2022 - Dual Kings (Part 1)

Iā€™m shitting it to be honest. Between the full back line and the changes, Iā€™d be fairly worried

I think weā€™ll get done

Hayes hasnā€™t been in the best of form and if itā€™s a choice between Hayes/pol or reidy/ Hayes itā€™s an easy decision for me.

Itā€™s a day where simply working really hard and fighting for Every single ball will pay huge dividends. Reidy is good in the air which in these conditions is huge as if you can win the ball in air thereā€™s a fair chance youā€™ll win a free or create a score. Heā€™s also desperately hungry to be involved. I expect him to give everything for 50 minutes or so And when the game opens up a bit Dempsey will come on. Thatā€™s how I read it.

Idk about form in training this year but itā€™s hardly a huge surprise, in that Reidy has been first forward sub both the last two days. And has been the backup centre-forward since 2018.

Changes to the team were inevitable at some stage as bar rotating Casey/Flanagan and WOD/Donovan the same team has been on the go three years in a row and the worry was the ā€œsystemā€ would get found out. The changes the last day seemed to flummox Tipp

Looks like brightening up here in Thurles for the afternoon which will suit limerick.

Peter Casey is doing unreal work out the field. Heā€™s some man to win a cheap free. Lively start here.

Limerick seem to be very good after these water breaks.

Thatā€™s great stuff from limerick. Very professional so far. Been impressed by waterford as well compared to what they produced in 2018 and 2019.

Weā€™re too good. Weā€™ve killed hurling.

Good half. Waterford are dogged out but we seem to have the upper hand. An awful lot of rucks surface doesnā€™t seem to be great

Only admit that after 3 or 4 all irelands. Dpnt mention it until we achieve that

Limerick have not been great, Kilkeeny wont let limerick have time on the ball as we saw last year. If they are playing out from the back it needs to be really acurate

Our movement inside is a huge improvement compared to other years. Thatā€™s been the big takeaway so far. No stupid shots being taken either.

Very rare limerick have played within themselves and found themselves four points up in a Munster final. Iā€™ve been impressed so far. Loads of improvement to be made but thatā€™s a great way to be imo.

no goal chances paL, goals get you to and win AIs

Thatā€™s true but at least thereā€™s more movement inside. Underfoot conditions are tricky. Iā€™d be More hopeful they are coming unlike last year.

Iā€™d much rather win a Munster final like that playing well within ourselves and with plenty to improve on than last years blow out versus tipp.

Enjoy tonight and then back to work. Loads to work on anyway thatā€™s for sure. Flanagan is playing brilliantly. Has to be close to a start.

Kyle was very good in the half back line as well. Barry Nash is improving too. After shakey start Finn was excellent.

Our shooting in the second half was frustrating at times. That needs to be worked on.

Fair play Waterford. Very impressive stuff from them at times.

Great to get a win anyway.

Sham Flan is the closest thing Iā€™ve seen to Jesus is a hurling helmet.

Waterford set the blueprint for what it will take to topple Limerick this year, not their best day out by a long shot but they werenā€™t given any time to implement the plan, enjoyable game though
