HH a banana skin.

:smiley::smiley::smiley::smiley::smiley::smiley:

Gway out of that. They are on a banana skin slide to junior.

The club has been a mess for two decades now and fielding with knockainey at underage while solicitors letter still flying over the county trials issue.

Was chatting to his father tonight at Knockfierna bonfire. Bullish enough about G/B prospects after tonight.

They knocked us out two years straight in recent years in almost identical circumstances - sucker punch late goals. Ergo banana skin!

Finally turned them over last year at the third attempt. They’ve had an unbelievable knack of digging out results to secure safety in recent years but this could finally be the year they enter the trap door. Mind you, they’ll fancy it against Kilmallock 2.

Croom look in trouble on the other side already.

I did not recall that. They are faring though and will fall further.

Interested in croom as we have them soon in football. Are they also falling away? Perhaps had a better than expected season last year.

Croom are a strange one. When they are good, they can be very good. When they are bad they are terrible.

Beat Feohanagh last year in a straight shootout to reach a quarter final and were full value for it. They’ll be sickened over that Kierans result, who will now have them on head to head if it comes to it.

Just going on what I saw of H/H last year, they might not have much genuine quality, but what they do have is heart. We were 7-8 points a better team than them last September in the group stage, but they kept coming back at us. C/K won by 4 in the end but H/H were plucky little hoors.

What did CON actually score?

Brennan at full-forward for Caherline?

What is the trials issue?

Who stood out for ye on Friday? A fine start to the year.

I know Liberties were very short, how did Nasher go?

Libs are short the old-timers and some mid-20s. They don’t have much depth

It was over at half time.

Barry Duff was very good in midfield and capped it off with two good goals in the second half. The successful FF line of two years ago was restored and stretched the FB line. A solid performance otherwise with bigger tests to come.

Nash played 6 but had too much to do.

I never knew Croom played in the West Division until they moved to South board in 1956. Won quite a few West Senior titles too. I knew that Castletown/Ballyagran had moved in same direction around the same time.

Nothing from play. Only frees scored.

Had a solid game though winning 5 frees I think.

Ref probably a bit harsh in 2nd half to not play 6 or 7 mins injury time. Played 5 full mins injury time in 1st half which really wasn’t warranted beyond a blood sub which took a while.

So many matches on the Friday night again. All intermediate Group 1 on at the same time.

Is there a break, after next weekend, for hurling? ie football on the weekend of August 18th and 19th?

Tough for Prem intermediate sides out three weeks in a row.

Two weeks of football after this, I think, then two weeks of hurling again.

I see there’s a Junior C Hurling Championship after being set up. Is that the first time it’s been ran in Limerick?

Na Piarsaigh and Ballybrown each fielding 4 adult teams is fair going.
