Limerick GAA 2023-2024.... 5 in a row is not here

Doon/KP @Copper_pipe will be along shortly Iā€™m sure!

K/P 0-8 Doon 2-08 at half time.

First goal came after one minute, Pat Ryan shot for a point that should have been scored dropped short and the keeper fumbled it to the net.

Second goal came just on half time, from a powerful run by Barry Murphy from the middle of the field and then laid off to Jack Ryan.

K/P actually had the better of the last 10 minutes and have the breeze to come. Second goal is obviously a sucker blow though. Nice bit of cut to it at times.

Adare 2-09 Liberties 0-14

If Adam English keeps this up heā€™ll be starting corner back next year for Limerick

He going well?

Heā€™s won a fair few against kyler. Heā€™s really intelligent.

Three in it now.

Thatā€™s some howler

Doon win by 7. Adare win by 10. Dec Hannon goals late on

Didnā€™t see the match that looks like very disappointing result for KP.

I believe they are without Cathal Downes for the rest of the year too which will be a massive loss. Their bench has looked very light.

Is there anything at all at stake in that match in Cappamore tomorrow night?

They had it back to three but were always going to need a goal I think. It was a good battle for most of the second half.

Adam English v Kyle Hayes was great to watch.

What happened downes injury or travel ?

Donā€™t think thatā€™s confirmed just yet

Injury

A semi final place. If we win weā€™re through. If we lose and then lose to Na P weā€™re probably in a QF cos the Well will beat Kildimo.

Where did Kyle hurl most of the match for Kildimo?

Just back from balmy Ballyagran.

Adare 4-21 Liberties 0-20.

Comfortable win for the Landed Gentry, if slightly flattering. Only got in at half time by which stage it was 2-09 to 0-14. Adare apparently raced into a healthy lead early on but they were reeled in by a Liberties outfit who gave as good as they got.

However, any hopes of an upset evaporated upon the restart as a quick necklace of points put some daylight between the teams which maintained to the end. Liberties repositioned 5 time All-Ireland winner Barry Nash to spearhead their attack but he was living off scraps as the Adare defence dealt comfortably with the aerial bombardment.

The final two scores of the game were green flags to put a bit of gloss on the score, the decorated Declan Hannon powering through for one before Kildimoā€™s Willie Griffin, who is apparently playing on with cracked ribs, batted home before ref Dave Deady called a halt to proceedings.

Young Sam Hickey again impressed in the corner, grabbed a few nice points and has something about him.

Adare back in it now, 5 points from four games with games against the Bouncers and Monaleen to come. For Liberties, their season now revolves around a cup final against Garryspillane. The winner stays up, the vanquished go through the trap door to Premier Intermediate.

Best wishes to the skipper and Ms Cantillon on their impending nuptials.
