Anyone would want to be very special indeed to be better than him. A genius.
I wouldn’t say it’s any more a fuck you to keepers than playing Nicky, David McCarthy or Jason Gillane in there tbf (I know Jason has now relocated permanently, but still made the panel before that).
Kickouts are probably even more important than puckouts but if you have a fella who is unbelievable at kicking the ball at club level and they can run any bit at all, you’re probably not going to be able to afford playing them in goals. You’d want to be a serious club outfit or they’d have to be an unbelievable specialist keeper and pretty much refuse to play anywhere else.

Odd that Billy Lee walked away after getting the side to division 2.
When you look at the underage results the future is bleak. The juice isn’t worth the squeeze for most inter county players.

A very good question. He upset a few vocal squad members who rallied a bit of support and gave him unfavourable comments in the end of season reviews. He walked away then
Some players felt he wasn’t up to the job! Said players also got rid of Dempsey, didn’t want Mark Fitz as manager (wanted him as coach alright) and tried to get rid of this years coach.
