The talk about the size of the bas and the weight of the sliothar; that is largely due to a perceived mullocker like Hegarty doing what he is doing. He is as clean a striker from the hand as there is around at the minute; all different kinds of shots and deliveries.

Good start by the 20s. Working very hard.
Cannot let it die like they did last week, where they worked their socks off for 15 minutes but seemed to completely run out of steam and were overrun then.

Seems to have turned in Corkās favour in the middle of the field for last few minutes.
Some of our lads still a little too casual. Standing up and looking around when in possession instead of moving their feet, and getting turned over as a result.

Cork finished the half stronger and go in 2 up. We hit a couple of very bad wides. But we are still working hard. Cork do have some very dangerous forwards and scores probably coming that bit easier for them.
Still doing well enough so far and well in the game.

The frees conceded are killing them. This Leahy lad for Cork will put them over all day.

Kept plugging away til the end but Cork responded better to our goal. A little too slow with our subs, I felt, a few players were noticeably struggling and we gave away a few stupid frees.
Giving away a criminal goal was the difference in the end. We responded well but the goal came too late. I was calling for Boddy to take the 20m frees once he came on, he has a way better strike of the ball than Scully.
Considering the hammering we took against Cork 3 years ago at minor, I guess this is progress but still disappointing to lose from a winning position. But they did work hard tbf to them.

We never kicked on after our goal. Cork went down and got 1-6 without reply, there was the winning of the game. The goal we conceded was criminal.
